Jessie J #1???

Indeed, and if Jessie J was just 4k behind Bruno Mars in the midweeks, then I'm sure she will overtake probably in the next 24 hours. So Jessie J could easily be no. 1 by Thursday's midweek update. Also I'm glad about this because 'Price Tag' now stands a chance of holding at no. 1 for a few weeks proving its worth as a UK #1 (rather than the lame 01-05-13-39-OUT types).

I haven't yet listened to Price Tag. It probably won't be as good to me as Grenade is. Grenade is one of my favourite songs of all time.

You should probably listen to more music.

I think Price Tag is a LOT better than Grenade, but if Grenade is one of your favourite songs, I doubt Price Tag will top it for you.

If it does, you're VERY lucky. I don't think I've ever had 2 songs that I love so much as the top 2 recently. Boom Boom Pow and Bonkers were the top 2 for 3 weeks in 2009, which was pretty awesome! :D I can't think of anything else recently, unless Love the Way You Lie and Airplanes were ever the top 2?

So a song which has the same beat as the 1st single and has un-true lyrics is your 'Favorite song of all time' ?

23/10/99 had an entire top FOUR which I'd still count amongst my top 100 songs of all time;

1. Christina Aguilera - Genie In A Bottle

2. Ann Lee - 2 Times

3. Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

4. ATB - Don't Stop

 You know, back when 4 different nationalities represented in the top four wasn't the most shocking thing ever!

I listen to tonnes of music

Uh, yes. Did I stutter??

Anyway, your opinion, I happen to love the song.

Jessie J - Price Tag is OK but I dont think it deserves a number one. I think shes selling on hype at the moment.

Price Tag sounds a lot like The Fear and Jessie herself seems to be the new Lily Allen.

I was thinking the exact same thing earlier!

She is selling on hype at the moment, she's new & interesting, Price Tag is really good too, with the help of B.o.B who is a great rapper too!

Blue is definitely one of my favourite songs. Ever!

To be honest, it's one of the earliest songs I remember liking, whilst it was out. I remember I used to go to football practice every week (which I HATED, btw :(), and then I'd come home and watch Top of the Pops straight after, every week. :) And I remember watching Blue on there, with the aliens which I used to find scary. :D

'Price Tag' sounds more like Natasha Bedingfield than Lily Allen. Actually, I don't hear 'The Fear' at all in 'Price Tag'....

Hm. I guess it's a little bit like The Fear, but the songs are completely different in terms of the tone, emotions, etc. Although they are both about materialism.

I think it's most like Where is the Love? by the Black Eyed Peas. Although I was also listening to Irreplaceable by Beyonce a while ago, and I think it's a bit like that too.

I love Price Tag though, and I love B.o.B. too. I really hope it gets to #1. I genuinely though Bruno Mars would get it again!

Bruno Mars was shaping up to be a bit like the Black Eyed Peas, getting to #1 twice every time. Nothin' On You almost did it too.

I do think Price Tag is a lot better than the vile Do it like a dude

not sure what's going on with some of the bars and numbers being mixed up but at least you can see jessie's lead. so glad it's now #1 hopefully it'll stay there so that we have a new #1 rather than bruno getting back there

I think Jessie J sounds abit like Kate Nash in Price tag!

I agree,it's definitely where is the love that I hear in "Price Tag", especially right before PT hits the chorus.

The backing track of Price Tag immediately reminded me of Miley's Party in the USA :D

Wow! Some really interesting entries this week! f***in' Perfect, Wonderman, Price Tag, Higher, Tongiht (I'm f***ing You)! Good competitors but can't see Pink and Tinie ending Top 10 :(

1 & 74 Price Tag

2 & 80 Grenade

3 & 107 We R Who We R

5 & 59 Coming Home

6 & 27 Tonight - Enrique

13 & 22 Higher

10, 97 & 152 Blind Faith

Yeah, me too. And evidently also this guy:

He mashes up Price Tag, Where is the Love? by the Black Eyed Peas and Back for Good by Take That.

Maybe Price Tag uses that chord progression which loads of songs use? I know Where is the Love? and Don't Stop Believin' both use it.
