Even if Jessie does get knocked off the number 1 spot, I can't see it being the last time we'll see her there.

I think (and hope) Champion can get #1 then. It'll be more frontloaded though, but I don't think Price Tag was even top 10 on iTunes this time last week, so we can never really know how things will turn out until Tuesday. And even then, like Gettin' Over You only got to #1 on iTunes on the Thursday or Friday, I think.

I'm just hoping Champion is frontloaded, I still think she get back to #1 with the album due early now.

The track will look odd with a break #1 run, oh well its not the first track to have a break #1 run

Champion up to #5 and #52 now - moving up very quickly. Will probably reach #2 by later tonight and possibly knock Jessie J off at this rate

I'm surprised Stuttering looks like it will make the Top 40, although I heard Kiss advertising it about 5 times this morning

I prefer the original by Mario

Is Wynter Gordon released today?

It's supposed to be according to the release schedule, hopefully it won't flop as it deserves to do well! Saying that, haven't heard it on radio or seen on music channels yet!

I really want to see a HUGE itunes lead again. We only get those at Christmas. When is something HUGE released???

It happens loads now. Mainly with urban US songs, which have a lot of longevity, but have front-loaded British songs break their runs, such as Boom Boom Pow, Just the Way You Are, I Gotta Feeling. OMG by Usher, Nothin' On You by B.o.B. and Dynamite by Taio Cruz all almost managed it too.

Grenade had a HUGE lead, just a few weeks back :P

it depends- when something is very hyped/anticipated/front-loaded- not necessarily just at Christmas, it can happen any time

I got excited thinking it was Fefe Dobson's monster number 1 in the making that you were talking about! :(

Haha same, everytime I see someone mention Stuttering I think of Fefes song. I really hope it gets released here in the UK :)

The only way you can get massive leads is if you hype up a track LOADS. Like if it's all over the radio, all over TV, and everything, then you release it, and tens of thousands of people all download it at the same time. I can't see this happening any time in the future. Some "normal" songs like Boom Boom Pow and Run had MASSIVE leads on iTunes though!

Sorry :P

*yawn* Champion is only going to number one because it was released under the traditional build-up method rather than an early release. Hopefully this is the last instance of this crap happening as it's been ruining the charts for TOO long now.

I bet you'd be fine with it if you liked the song.

Seriously though, nobody complained when California Gurls did it... And even when songs climb to #1 after numerous weeks, such as OMG people complain...

At the end of the day. If you like a song, you're happy to see it get #1, and if you don't, you're unhappy. Exactly the same with me. :)

No, I wouldn't, and I wish people would stop saying crap like this.

And quite frankly I haven't been happy a song got to #1 since about 2004. I grew out of that kind of thing, even for songs I like.

Oh, I'm sorry. :(

But yeah, I don't really care that Champion is debuting at #1. It's probably lost sales from them holding back its release anyway, and this way, it'll not spend as long in the chart.
