Posted January 30, 201114 yr The Killers announce return from hiatus Sunday, January 30 2011, 05:16 GMT Rock band The Killers have announced that they will make their comeback later this year at the Lollapalooza festival in Chile. The band began a temporary hiatus at the beginning of 2010, during which time frontman Brandon Flowers released his first solo album Flamingo. According to NME, The Killers will return at Lollapalooza in April alongside acts including Kanye West, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and 30 Seconds To Mars. Following their performance at the festival, Flowers has confirmed that the band will begin work on their fourth studio album. Lollapalooza begins at O'Higgins Park in Santiago, Chile on April 2.

January 31, 201114 yr Finally. I hated them apart. I'm looking forward to what they are coming up with this time around. I love how they never let their fans down.
January 31, 201114 yr Author I have a feeling a greatest hits could possibly start their return off, i could be wrong but i have a gut feeling a greatest hits is coming next with some new tracks.
January 31, 201114 yr I have a feeling a greatest hits could possibly start their return off, i could be wrong but i have a gut feeling a greatest hits is coming next with some new tracks. I think they should really do at least one more album tbh, three studio album's wortth of material plus "Sawdust" isn't really enough.
January 31, 201114 yr There's no point in a Greatest Hits if a new album is due out this year. It would make more sense if it wasn't due until late next year.
January 31, 201114 yr They need a few more hits before a Greatest Hits, but I CANT WAIT for the new album!
January 31, 201114 yr The thing with The Killers though, is they don't particularly need a massive hit, for people to know what the song sounds like and stuff. That's what's so special about them, imo. They're songs are usually pretty anthemic and memorable, so as long as they get good airplay (guaranteed with Radio 1 more or less) then a greatest hits will work for them. (Although I agree it's too soon at the moment for one!)
January 31, 201114 yr Day & Age Pt. 2 :kink: Ugh, not for me :P I don't think they should try to replicate any of their previous records - Hot Fuss was influenced by British bands, Sam's Town by the America they grew up in and Day & Age by the European music scene. They should move on again, at least then if their albums continue to decline in quality it won't sound like a rehash.
February 1, 201114 yr I just don't want anything like 'Day & Age'. Disappointing is an understatement.
February 19, 201114 yr Aah, so excited! They're probably my favourite "band" band, so I'll be looking forward to this. :D I really liked the first two singles off 'Day & Age', but after them the quality declined massively, so hopefully they'll be back on top of their game with this record. :D
February 19, 201114 yr Author i have no dount the new album will be good and im looking forward to it, mind you i loved day and age from start to finish so i may not get the album i would love.
