I've decided not to bother continuing with the Tip Parade as the whole "on air on sale" thing is going to render it almost meaningless. It also doesn't help that some of the biggest hits on the radio will bizarrely never make the top 40 (e.g. Imelda May, Edei, Bryan Ferry, James Blunt..) If anybody fancies doing their own version, feel free.

Thanks for your help with release information - please keep it coming.

And a shameless plug - if you're into 90s chart nostalgia, check out my blog Pop Unlimited 1994, where I am counting down the charts of 1994, with episodes of Top Of The Pops and The Chart Show, music videos and this week I've uploaded a full UK top 40 show hosted by Bruno Brookes.

 It's the German word for 'art'.

Bob Sinclair feat. Sean Paul - Tik Tok

Hmm... Slightly odd.

Made some changes and additions thanks to ManicKangaroo...

NB the Cheryl Cole single has changed, source is Music Week.

Helena Paparizou - An Isouna Agapi

Love her :)

Inna - 10 Minutes

Deserves to do well but these sorts of songs and artists never annoyingly make the UK top 40 or even into the UK.

Pitbull feat. T-Pain - Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)

Liking this.

The Script - If You Ever Come Back

Not one of their strongest. I like 'Walk away' better.

Bob Sinclair feat. Sean Paul - Tik Tok

LOL

J Cole - Who Dat

Will there be a clean version of this? Like this song. Saw it on MTV back in September!

N-Dubz - Morning Star

Again not their strongest. Don't think this has much of a chance at all.

Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Goulding - Wonderman

Deserves a no.1. Love the chemistry.

Eliza Doolittle - Mr Medicine

Like this but I don't feel it will do that well?

The Vaccines - What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?

Seriously?

Cheryl Cole feat. Travie McCoy - Yeah Yeah

Pretty desperate to get into america! Surprised this was agreed.

Rihanna - S&M

No.1 please:)

Bruno Mars - Marry You

Liquor Store Blues and The other side are so much better.

Any news on Enrique re-release of Euphoria and Kylie Aphrodite? Apparantly, the Kylie one has been confirmed on some blog according to someone on sayhey.
Well 'Yeah Yeah' is a better choice than 'Everyone' for Cheryl, but it's still not my first choice of single. :( It should do well in the UK though, hopefully!
Phew, Yeah Yeah is a much better choice! I'd still rather have Hummingbird or Waiting, but nonetheless a great song and should do well. Top 10 I should say, will be good after The Flood underperformed...

There has been speculation over the weekend that Take That will be doing this year's Comic Relief song (yes - just rumour - only in the Sun so far). Now however - someone has edited Wiki (yes I know anyone can) that Take That's new song Kidz IS actually the 2011 CR song. Would the dates tie in? Or, if it is true that is, would they have to put the release date back?

Kath

Forget all of the above - The Wanted are doing the official CR song. Amazingly - that normally 110% accurate source of information 'The Sun' was wrong!

'Kidz' is a great choice of single and considering how well 'Progress' sold in December alone, they'd need something like Comic Relief to help give the track a much needed boost if it stands any chance of doing well.

If it is true, what Take That need now is TV/radio support and a brilliantly hilarious music video to help 'Kidz' do well.

IF it is true - then I can see the video being tied in with the David Walliams 'Fake That' thing. Maybe a video along the lines of French & Saunders & Alison Moyet (or was it Banarama?) many, many years ago.

Well 'Kidz' is certainly an improvement of 2009's "funny" Comic Relief single 'Islands In The Stream'. I guess you needed to be a big Gavin & Stacey fan to appreciate its humour. The Tom Jones cameo appearance was the only remotely funny thing about it. ** shrugs **

Oh, you're actually correct with both artists. Dawn French was in the video to 'Whispering Your Name' by Alison Moyet whilst French & Saunders were featured on Bananarama 'Help!' in 1989.

French & Saunders were also in the video for Alison Moyet's "Love Letters" from 1987... :)

Island will follow Price Tag this month with several other new singles released to radio and retail at the same time, including Cocknbullkid’s Hold On To Your Misery, released in conjunction with Moshi Moshi, and Mona’s Teenager, although Cockle said he was expecting more modest OCC chart starts than the new Jessie J offering had managed.

I'm really loving "Lights" by Ellie Goulding at the moment.... any idea when we can expect a release??
Are they hoping some DJ will mispronounce this, and drop themselves in the $h!t? :P

+ here's hoping to a MONSTER airplay hit with it! :heehee:

I haven't lost any taste in music by the way,

That old chestnut! At least say it like you mean it,"beep" out the HELL SPAWN "group's" name eg. JedW@nkers http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/free-sick-smileys-1049.gif

There has been speculation over the weekend that Take That will be doing this year's Comic Relief song (yes - just rumour - only in the Sun so far).......

http://s4.rimg.info/73d434b353275255e2429fb68141b812.gif OMG NIGHTMARE! COMIC relief is supposed to ALLEVIATE STRESS NOT CAUSE IT! We've (both the general + POP music appreciating populations) already suffered enough of TTs media saturation at the end of last year, purely driven by the concept of ROMANTIC(unfulfilment) NOSTALGIA, at least we normally get a reprieve for a few years as all their post album chart achievements are invisible by comparison until they release another musical/cultural non event - of course there is the RECORD breaking SALES eventhttp://www.getsmileyface.com/sm/sleep/schla03.gif in.......ONE COUNTRY of significance http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif http://209.85.12.227/431/162/emo/rotfl.gif , which really SAYS IT ALL.

Jason + Howard may be aesthetically pleasing ,entertaining dancers but the rest have "MANdonna syndrome" - they'd make a 6 months exhumed corpse seem a more alive, sexy and animated a performer
