When is it out??

Don't know actually. I think it is confirmed for release here though. It's amazing though. That song is a full on anthem!!! So epic!!

Slightly off-topic... but Gaga's #1 on iTunes in 23 countries... i.e. worldwide.

That's insane!!! :o I remember at one point, either Only Girl or The Time was at #1 on iTunes in nearly every country, which I thought was amazing, but for it to be the same song! :o

McFly - Shine A Light is now at #39 so back in the top 40. Wonder if it'll go any higher - although I guess its too late to jump top 40 in the chart again this week.
Mcfly's Album 'Above The Noise' is now 25 on I tunes Albums

Black & Yellow HAS to go #1. Its a TUNE.

Hopefully GaGa will get to #1 before its released...

I'm pretty sure GaGa will. It has another 38 hours to go until we can accurately see a 48hour sales comparison against its competitors, assuming iTunes is a 48hour rolling chart.

:o

Lady Gaga is the first artist EVER to have a single that is #1 all over the world simultaneously.

I think it's 21 at the minute... A lot of talk on atrl about it being #2 in Denmark and #3 in Japan. Unsure though.

Is it a real possibility Gaga will break Hung Up's record of being #1 in the most countries?

Also, Black and Yellow is confirmed for release, but not for about 3/4 weeks. Depends if they decide to do an early release.

Black & Yellow is out 6 March, so Gaga can snatch some time before then!

I think it is really possible. GaGa is #1 in 21 countries on iTunes, but that doesn't include the countries in which iTunes is not the major music market.

I doubt they'll release B&Y early - who would want to release against the BTW juggernaut??

havent heard Black & Yellow yet..

-scrambles onto youtube-

Born This Way isn't number 1 in Japan!

Hips Don't Lie got #1 in over 55 countries, I read somewhere. It was the best-selling song of the previous decade, aswell, I think. I'm not sure even Gaga can beat that!

Although, to be fair, Hips Don't Lie was performed infront of an audience on 1,000,000,000 people, which might've helped a tiny little bit!

Love the Way You Lie peaked at #55 in Japan. :nocheer:

In terms of worldwide success? Black Eyed Peas' album is a big flop, This Time didn't did HALF as well as expected and they had to cancel plans of a stadium tour due to lack of interest (the only place they're playing stadium is Paris 'cause France is the only market where they still legit huge).

Worldwide, I can name a few artists that are bigger than Black Eyed Peas. Eminem, for example, is bigger. Even Justin Bieber is currently a bigger franchise.

And anyway, the Black Eyed Peas are big hit-makers. But they doesn't have a big stable fanbase AT ALL. Britney Spears, even when she doesn't have a big hit, is still able to have huge first week sales. The Black Eyed Peas' first week sales are PATHETIC. And I know lasting sales are more important but first week sales are where we measure how truly big an artist fanbase is (especially worldwide. The UK is one of the very few places where this isn't necessarily true). That's why Eminem, Britney and Gaga are considered the biggest acts worldwide.

boom boom pow was the first single from the last album and although it was number 1 no-one could predict how big the album would become after the second single took over the pop music airwaves...so theres still time with the beps in 2011.

christ the us chart looks terrible with all that glee rubbish on it!!

Yeah, there were 7 Glee tracks in the top 10 a few days ago, or something crazy like that! :o

The Glee tracks would be doing a lot better in the UK if we weren't so far behind all the other countries I reckon.

not to keen on Black & Yellow, a grower?

I think its generic and dull

not to keen on Black & Yellow, a grower?

:o Its AMAZING. The chorus is just

Hopefully it'll be HUGE.
