Take That have done The Flood to death. Was refreshing to see them do something else.

Take That have already performed The Flood on X Factor twice, Royal Variety and Children in Need. Im sure most people would have liked to see a new song performed.

To be honest, even two months ago I was whining about Take That performing The Flood. I would've literally screamed if they performed it again.

Perhaps they should just release Set Fire To the Rain as the 2nd single then. Someone Like You might not need to be released as a single to sell well. It could be like Make You Feel My Love, where radio stations just playlist it without being asked to. Then she can release another song as her 3rd single.

 

Not really... if it's that high already, imagine what being promoted as a proper single will do for it, with a video and everything. It'd be easier than having another track have to climb up all the way from nowhere.

He's set to release his next album in like 9 months too!! Here's hoping for 4 pre-album singles again. :lol:

What about Make You Feel My Love though. It was released as a single like 3 years ago. It got popular last year, and sold bucket-loads without having to be promoted as a single then. Radio stations just started playing it of their own accord again, TV also just kept promoting it with Adele's label not having to do anything.

 

Another example, Love the Way You Lie. It was in the chart for weeks before it got confirmed as the next single. Again, it got popular, so radio stations just played it anyway.

 

Adele and her managers can do what they want though. I mean, of course the song will sell more if they make it a single, and Radio 1 playlist it, etc, but that can be said of every song. The top 10 effect alone is a huge amount of promotion.
