Wow keep going Adele. I expect Chipmunk to fall under Rihanna and Adele (SLY) by tommorow.

I hope it keeps falling completely, thank GOD it was kept from making #1 officially this week.

Adele's special special special Brit Performance (Corden was so crying after this, as was Adele and probably half of the viewing public!)

Nice performance.

A shame, that AS USUAL, the comments section is a bunch of Cheryl Cole and Justin Bieber hate propoganda. :( I wish there was a feature on youtube where you could prevent comments containing certain words being shown, because I am fed up of EVERY SINGLE video ending up just being a Justin Bieber hate fest instead of actually discussing the video. To make matters worse, the guy has done nothing wrong. There's murderers out there, and people choose Justin to hate on? And Cheryl, because, oh no, Simon Cowell likes her and the mainstream newspapers titled her "Nation's Sweetheart" 3 years ago. What a bunch of idiots.

But anyway, it was a really good performance. :D No wonder it's top 5!!

Performance of the night by miles! @Karma (if i'm correct it was the one that we were talking about Leona a few weeks ago) that was what i meant about emotional performances (still my opinion so no offenses :) )

So, if Lady GaGa miss number 1 (hope not), i hope Someone Like You is the new number 1!

ADELE FOR SHOCK NUMBER 1 !

Yeah, imagine: 36-33-47-1  That would be weird!

I know I probably got its chart run slightly wrong, but you all know what I mean.

Hope Jessie J can get back to #1 on iTunes, so tired of seeing UnoriginalGA at the top.

BTW, Tinie is NOT going to be on the E.T. UK version, as Kanye is now on the song.

Kanye West!?!?!?! :w00t: I can't wait to hear it!! I hope he gets to rap more than 2 lines though...

E.T. has already got to #1 somewhere though! :o

Yeah because 'Price Tag' is very original with its unofficial 'Where is the Love' sample.

GO ADELE!

lol. Someone at my work did a similar thing with Take That too. They were like "They're the biggest pop group in the world", and I was like "Um, Black Eyed Peas?"

I guess sometimes if you're not following everything properly, it might be difficult to know who's British and who's world-wide.

That said, Cheryl (and Take That) have had #1s in Europe, but I guess in othere countries they're selling solely due to their music, as they don't have the media profiling them.

There is not a chance Adele gets to no1 this week. Gaga is selling too strong and Adelle would have to double-sell her for the rest of the week.

Still Adelle's performance was very good. It is an average song really but her performance made it special. She could be top5 by Thursday-Friday and could end up no3 on Saturday!

That's true, but what is also true is that TT is a slightly successfull group in Europe and Cheryl has only had one hit song and nobody really cares about her.

I don't see how this makes either act a global superstar. No matter how much I love the album, Progress has not been a great seller (and appearently is not going to become one) outside UK and Ireland (and perhaps a bit of Germany because of Robbie). They are phenomenal in the UK and just ok in Europe (considering they had Robbie on board this time which kind of created more expectations). Cheryl is a UK only act. fullstop.

The song was special before the performance!

Yeah, course it is

^ youre wrong. there still plenty of time left in the week for things to change. I still say gaga 9k lead or whatever was very front loaded and if it plummets she may not get #1 on Sun.

Um, the songs don't have any resemblance at all.

Did you see Madonna perform at the GRAMMYs on Sunday?, she looked so flawless coming out the egg.

Ooohh, how amazing if Adele could beat GaGa to number 1 on Sunday. What a victory for talent over hype it would be.
