Posted February 17, 201114 yr ISTM we needed a revised poll, as to have one without Adele now, would be a travesty. Basically the chart is a complete free-for-all this week - Lady G selling massively early on, then trailing off; Adele starting off modestly, then getting a massive Brits boost; and finally Jessie J, selling more steadily but less spectacularly than either.
February 17, 201114 yr I want and think Jessie J could do it. It'll be extremely close though (between Adele and her)! I just want Jessie to make at least 3 weeks! I dunno, but I see Adele's SLY sales tailing off quite a bit, until Radio stations properly get behind the track (which will be once it's charted inside the top 5 this week). Thus giving Jessie, the slight edge. I hope all three songs sell well over 80k though. (Although the only reason I hope GaGa does, is because I want a very strong top 3 sales wise!) I wouldn't be shocked if it literally went right down to the wire... (i.e. literally 20 copies or so between the top 2  - It's about time we had something that close!)
February 17, 201114 yr I actually think Adele could do it now, her lead when combined is absolutely enormous (probably bigger than FloDizz's biggest lead) and the only thing that stopped FloDizz from getting to #1 was the fact it was up against Helping Haiti's still strong second week physical sales. Added to the fact Someone Like You was actually available for the whole week this time so actually has a slight advantage on FloDizz... Another question is, will GaGa end up a non-mover? Jessie caught up to Chipmunk's 6k lead last week after overtaking on iTunes on Friday, she overtook on Wednesday this time and GaGa's lead was only slightly bigger. I actually think GaGa is the least likely of the three options now which really is surprising. I suspect GaGa will get #1 once the video is released, it won't look particularly good on her chart history if BTW misses #1. Edited February 17, 201114 yr by Bray
February 17, 201114 yr I think Adele will be #1 on Sunday. I can see her maintaining this massive lead on iTunes throughout the week & outselling Lady Gaga and Jessie J.
February 17, 201114 yr Author I think Adele will be #1 on Sunday. I can see her maintaining this massive lead on iTunes throughout the week & outselling Lady Gaga and Jessie J. It'd be hard to be #1 if she *didn't*. :P
February 17, 201114 yr Adele has a massive combined lead on iTunes, GaGa will have to be 3 for another week, and Jessie J number 2. Shame this'll be ADELE's first number one, 'Chasing Pavements' and 'Rolling In The Deep' should have been number ones too
February 17, 201114 yr Adele for me, I think she's got the momentum (and it's bloody brilliant but that's rarely a factor in these things) - if it happens, it will be ironic that her first number 1 single will be a non-single (if you see what I mean).
February 17, 201114 yr Author Adele has a massive combined lead on iTunes, GaGa will have to be 3 for another week, and Jessie J number 2. JJ #3, surely?
February 17, 201114 yr I actually think Adele can do it now, I think she could be #1 on todays update, we shall see at 11am. Its going to be an interesting chart between all 3 acts. I reckon Jessie will be #2, with Lady Gaga #3. Sales are going to be massive for the top 3 singles. I love to see Jessie getting a 3rd week at #1 but having Adele at #1 will be quite of a shocker, as no one really saw it coming at the beginning of the week.
February 17, 201114 yr Horrible feeling it'll be Jessie. Although I don't MIND Price Tag now, I think Gaga has lost too much momentum to be #1 (though I still think that she'll get there on video/bundle/physical (if there is one) release week, unlike Britney) and I just don't think Adele will have time to make up the distance, I think it'll probably look like this: 1. Jessie 2. Adele 3. Gaga
February 17, 201114 yr This reminds me a bit of the JLS vs. Katy Perry vs. B.o.B. week where at the start of the week, on iTunes it was: 1. JLS 2. Katy Perry 3. B.o.B. but at the end of the week it was: 1. B.o.B. 2. Katy Perry 5. JLS JLS still won by like a margin of 10,000, though, but we only had the iTunes pop bars to base it on, so it could've been really close, especially since JLS never had a large lead, at any point.
February 17, 201114 yr After her breathtaking performance at the Brits where she, hands down, stole the show, I'd really love Adele to be number one. 'Someone Like You' is a modern classic - a record that, 20 years from now, people will still play. '21' is phenomenal - and this and 'Set Fire To The Rain' are the huge standouts... so, much as I like GaGa, I'd love Adele to snatch it.
February 17, 201114 yr Lol for the 1 vote to another artist! I think it's going to be Adele in a very very close battle! I love BTW and SLY and like PT, so i don't mind who is getting the number 1 but Jessie J had her time so one of the other ladies please!
February 17, 201114 yr Author I have to wonder who voted for the 'other artist' though, and which they had in mind. :P

February 17, 201114 yr I really don't know- its really good having a full on chart battle going on I must say :D I think Gaga has lost too much momentum, so I actually think Adele could do it- the only thing that stopped Florizzee's lead this time last year was Helping Haiti's physicals and even then it still finished a comfortable second so I'm going to say she could do it I think: 1. Adele (narrowly) 2. Jessie J 3. Lady Gaga
