GO DEBELAH MORGAN. Her one hit wonder spirit will always live on due to the perfect nature of that song for these kind of things. Lovely.

Awesome songs!!! :w00t:

Upside Down is incredible. It really deserves a LOT more chart success.

Kiss Kiss is an INCREDIBLE song. I loved it SO much when I was little. Can't remember exactly when it was released (maybe 10 years ago now? :o), but I bet at the time when I was obsessed with it people were telling me I wouldn't remember that song after 2 years. Who's laughing now?!

It was out in May 2002 and got to #1. My best memory of it is, of course, the music video, and me putting a poster of Holly on my wall in an attempt to be all straight acting, even though I didn't really fancy her at all. Memories. I had one of Rachel Stevens, too...

Pretty much all her other singles were better, anyway, IMO. Especially Down Boy and State of Mind.

And whoever told you that is a moron, lol. Why would you forget it in 2 years?! Silly people. I don't think I've ever forgotten about a song I liked before.

Eric your use of the word 'INCREDIBLE' constantly really takes away from the meaning of the word. I mean, come on, Upside Down (terrible song imo and terrible artist imo) an 'incredible' song, AND 'Kiss Kiss', ofcourse everyone has their own opinions, but incredible, is that really the word to describe those two songs?

What a RANDOM selection of songs :o

A Eurovision interval act from 1994, an unreleased J. Lo track, and a long forgotten #10 SMASH from 2001 all in the mix :o

Adele - 21 has been #1 since the day it was released on iTunes album chart. I think tomorrow we could see it knocked off after 6 long weeks by Jessie J, I wonder if she'll be able to do it officially, Adele is still selling over 100,000 each week so I wonder if Jessie will be able to top it, what does everyone think? I think its possible..

How is Someone Like You lead getting on, increasing, decreasing, #1 for a 3rd week Sunday?

Haha. Yeah, I have such good memories from that song. If that song was released now, it'd never be able to get that popular tbh. :(

I dunno, it's mainly my parents that told me things like that. I think it probably annoyed them when I got obsessed with songs that they thought simply weren't very good. It must've been really annoying having me running round the house singing that for days on end.

I do love those songs though. I know I describe a lot of songs as "incredible" (which results in me having great difficulty describing my absolute favourite songs using words ), but I do love them so much. I don't think me saying "Kiss Kiss is good" really conveys to everybody how much I love the song. I do pretty much bounce up and down whenever they announce that they're about to play it on the radio. :D

I think she's been tainted by the very show that made her popular in the first place. Becoming a judge on Strictly doesn't seem to have done her any favours whatsoever. Then again, returning with a track as abysmal as 'Drummer Boy' was always asking for trouble.

But there are tracks even more abysmal than that that have been huge.

J.lo's new single will be out next sunday and by then the video will be out. I hope radio 1 playlist it next week

Oh gosh, I really hope it does well! Although perhaps I'd prefer it to be a grower in the charts (which I don't think it will be, or not to the extent as, say Telephone or S&M), as I think it'd be a bit weird having it be really popular when it's still Winter! I know it's happened loads of times before, but still. That song sound like such a summer anthem (albeit it sounds more 2010 ).

Stereo Love got released quite early in the year though, and was undeniably massive in the summer though.

Adele back up to #5!! :cheer: and Lady Gaga up to #9, which means Grenade is #10! Rope is still only #14 though. I'm not sure it'll get top 10 on iTunes now. :( I know it's theoretically on like half its pop bar, but from past experience, after the first 24 hours songs usually seem to be more like 65% of their full pop bar.

It was pushed back to 27th March

Wtf really? well does that mean it will be out physically/digitally that date?

I guess so. It's good in a way, because it means it could feasibly get #1 now, if it gets support, but it will hurt its sales, and it might not spend as long in the chart.

I doubt there will be a physical release but theat's the digital release date now

And the only good track in a BAD album.

So far, not quite.

1. 21 - Adele

2. Who You Are - Jessie J

3. Who You Are (Bonus Version) - Jessie J

I don't think Jessie will get #1 on iTunes or officially.

Checking the pop bars this morning, ISTM that the album version of SLY is gaining as fast as the live version is falling, resulting in her combined lead over JJ remaining much the same - at around 20%.

Of course, the fact that she's leapt from 76-9 on airplay may have a slight effect, too... :)
