Hilary Shaw (their Manager) has said there will be something next year -

Girls Aloud will reunite in 2012 to mark their 10th anniversary, their manager has confirmed.

Hilary Shaw said to expect the five-piece to perform together to mark the milestone. “Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their 10th anniversary so there will be something,” she said.

But she added that fans shouldn’t expect a new studio album just yet, as Cheryl Cole is busy with her solo career and her rumoured X Factor USA slot.

As for the other girls, Nicola Roberts is readying a solo LP, Sarah Harding is concentrating on acting and Kimberley Walsh on TV presenting. Nadine Coyle’s album flopped when it was released late last year.

The Girls Aloud boss also insisted that all five members are still good friends, despite rumours of infighting. “The girls are still getting on great, they speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl and Nadine with the other girls,” Hilary told The People. “Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs.”

Girls Aloud haven’t recorded together since 2008’s Out Of Control.

So they ARE coming back next year :o No new album then, but a new single is possible. They could represent the UK in Eurovision :kink:
I at least want a GH with a few new tracks. I appreciate a new album is about as likely as a new Spice Girls album, but I want some kind of new material! :/
I'm thinking its just gonna be a few gigs and maybe a special show or something. But I hope we get at LEAST one new song!

As long as it's not a Headlines type song

Praise the lord for that! I'm glad we're getting something, and if at the end of 2012 there is an announcement about a split, then at least they'll have done one more little thing for the fans before the split.

Oh god no :puke: That was awful - what a way for them to say goodbye

 yeah no thanks.

*shotgun* Party One Last Time

An upbeat farewell if that's what it turns out to be!

All I know is I need to see them at least one more time as I have seen them live 9 times, and I need to make that double figures!

I'm praying for new material! I just hope they never split up so these gigs or show are a real good sign :D Seriously can't wait!
Just to get me a little more excited, I've just done my May playlist and added every GA single minus Walk This Way (as it's not on my new PC yet). 54 tracks & 20 GA singles, hello May!

I had a Girls Aloud shuffle day today when I read this. Loving Love Machine and Whole Lotta History more than ever!

I foresee a Greatest Hits (with a possible one/two new tracks) and a little tour? If that. It's better than nothing though I suppose.
I'm prepared to have a 2 week holiday and FOLLOW like I've never followed before! Time to save up!
I would say it will be a new greatest hits and a tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary, im not sure how a greatest hits will do considering how well the first one done but it is great hey are doing something and i would say if it goes well (and it will) they will do some new material due to popular demand!!
I hope the comeback is excellent. I don't like the sound of "one-off"! :(

I feel the same. A "one-off" sounds like what the Spice Girls did, and I don't realy want them to comeback that way.

Saying that, I can only imagine how HUGE a comeback tour would be. I can see it being like 10 times as big as the already supr big "Out of Control" tour. Everyone would want to see them reunited and especially if it's a "goodbye" tour.

Am i the only one who thinks it's just gonna be one gig? then hopefully that'll reignite the flames and we could get another album and a greatest hits out of them.

Shall I book a Wembley hotel  :(

We need a full blown UK & Ireland tour!
