Just found information that TTWE only got 15 plays on the UK radios in last few days!

Britney's position this week in the chart will be between 8-15 and sales will fall towards the end of the week, releasing based on hype doesn't seem to be working. (See HIAM and to a lesser extent Born this Way -which was performing well for a while but then sales quickly dropped)

No, she's not - multiple versions of Do It Like A Dude, and possibly also of Higher and f***in' Perfect, are enough to push ahead of Britney.

i think Elbow could shift 100k+ this week, should be enough to take the number 1 album from Adele, but she'll regain it next week after her performance on comic relief

I'm surprised Wiz Kalifa is so low still. It's insanely catchy and I thought it would be massive. Although if ever I bought that type of music I wouldn't because I know it would annoy me fairly soon and I'd hear it enough not through my own choice, maybe others think that too?

Wiz is moving slightly quicker now, its finally overtaken Hype Squad, so should be OK now for at least top 20, frankly, I would find it underperforming if I didn't like the song :(

 

Wonderman seems to be doing very well too- the album version is at 23 so it probably won't be enough to get top 10- it could get it a new peak though

 

that Birdy song (Skinny Love, not the actual Birdie Song :P) seems to be getting good support from Radio 1, that would explain why it keeps popping up every now and then- I listened to it and it is rather lovely :o

If Someone Like You is #1 for a 4th week this week i'll be speechless, hope it happens but either way its been bigger then anyone could have hoped for. :heart:

Yes :heart: Definitely, shes getting the chart runs and sales she deserves now, if any of her singles will become her signature song Someone Like You is without a doubt it, its timeless. :wub:

Hopefully Britney can catch Jessie as her album version of PT should start fading :)

All i'm saying is that some artists expect to be as powerful as they were. Both Christina and Britney had new songs out (NMT and HIAM) and they didn't do a simple promotion (if i'm right) and the results aren't what they wanted!

 

Britney does have a more power in most markets (just a little more then Christina in the UK) but that's because of her huge fanbase. But her fanbase can only do so much... luckily people f***ing love her in the USA now and they pick up everything she does... if she were to PROMOTE she could be doubling what she is selling right now, and it's frustrating.

 

Her fans are carrying her right now.
