She is the arguably the greatest winner this contest has ever seen! It wouldn't be right for Ms Berger to come back with anyone else ^_^ PLUS after literally years of checking her myspace for updates on her very long time in the making third album I think I've earned this lol. She won't match the result of 'Will You Remember...' but this is a damn good comeback nevertheless :)

 

This contest actually sounds like something we would have got in the XI-XX era, really encouraging on the recap :D

I agree, there's a lot of variety this month, I'm going to have real trouble voting...it's so hard to compare songs from completely different genres - others months its easier as a lot of the songs that I love are essentially variations of the same :lol:

 

Glad people are commenting on/appreciating the recap! With only 15-20 seconds allowed for each song, it's very hard to pick out a defining segment! It was much easier to do recaps when there were only 27/28 finalists and each song could have more time!

On some songs which have a less obvious chorus/hook I was sitting there for ages trying to decide which part to include :lol:

FSR Rontvia have voted! I like to vote first so that I'm not influenced by anybody else's votes/have the temptation to do it last and help out the songs I want to win :lol: I won't go into ratings but there were three brilliant songs quite far ahead of the pack, a further five which I thought were great and about ten more which I thought were very good, obviously only two of which got points...I'm pleased with my final ten though, much more of a mixed bag than usual!

 

The quality wasn't maybe as consistently high across the board as last month but the massively increased variety more than made up for it for me...it's one of the best I've hosted in terms of there being something for everyone.

When I have host, I send myself a PM with the votes so I have proof that I didn't vote to get my favorite to win or do better :)

First run through and I still have 19 songs left which is a record.

 

Usually I am struggling to fill all the places. Typical that the first time I like/don't mind more songs the number of songs we can choose has gone down.

 

Still I've probably already thrown out the winner!

Ah it said it was blocked in my country! I feel like I live in some closed nation sometimes! Especially when Norwegian songs are blocked in Norway :lol:

 

I've listen through 17 songs now! Must say I'm impressed by the quality! Hope the 2nd half is as good as the 1st part!

Don't worry, it happens a lot here too, I had one video once which was blocked in every country apart from Poland :mellow:

September - Walk Alone, I've attempted to upload a video to quite a few different video sharing sites and it keeps being taken down for breach of use, even simply naming it 'BJSC XXXII Herzebania'. It's not on Soundcloud or anywhere else to stream on the internet that I can see. If somebody can think of another solution I'd be grateful, otherwise just PM me when you get round to listening to the songs (if you haven't requested/don't intend to request the MP3 pack) and I'll send you a single MP3 of just that track. Hopefully Peter can try and provide an alternative video link/stream when he comes online.

In the other online contest I take part in we've always used the Eurovision system regardless of numbers and it works well with no complaints. Last month we had 60 entries in the final. People choose a top 10 and then credit entries that just missed out if they so wish.

Hopefully onto another good finish this month! I've been wanting to send this since the last contest as I am truly adoring it. Easily my favourite entry since 'Knock You Down'! :wub: I doubt it'll do too well though, if I'm honest. I can see it finishing in the 17-22 region.

 

From the recaps the contest definitely sounds a lot more varied! Whether it's for the better or worst, still remains to be seen/heard, but should be alright overall.

I've spent two hours signing up and trying about 10 of the more obscure sites on that link (as well as Soundcloud), and it was taken straight down from all of them :/ The only one that vaguely worked was this one, which on reflection I think you have to sign up to view anyway :drama:;

I have NO idea what to do about the September situation. I really thought it would be OK as that video has been up for weeks! It's only now that they seem to be clamping down.

 

I'll try altering the audio slightly, but still I'd urge people to listen to the mp3 to give a better reflection!!
