July 15, 201113 yr Yeah, I think it'll get good radio support. Also, has anybody noticed that the beginning of chorus of Wet sounds a LOT like parts of the Almighty remix of Last Friday Night?!?! :o :o :o
July 16, 201113 yr All songs are good; my problem with all the latest pop songs is that all sound familiar. <_< Sure, she will have a good play on RSs and it would secure her the good chart position. I just don't get all those 'cloned' songs! No originality in pop music anymore. Edited July 16, 201113 yr by gigababy

Infact, I don't even mind songs sounding similar, but when we've got 25 songs in the top 40 that sound almost identical, it's a bit worrying. :drama: I had a lot of respect for Nicole releasing Right There tbh, because it was so different to everything else (yes, similar to a couple of other songs, but what isn't?), but Wet sounds similar to about 20 other songs in the chart atm. Sure, it's better than a lot of them, but I'd rather Nicole release something a bit different again. I kind of hope this doesn't do well, so she doesn't release another club song as her 5th single too. Oh, and another song I think it sounds a bit like is Another Chance by Roger Sanchez. July 16, 201113 yr Honestly, "Killer Love" is a pretty safe album in regards to singles. The majority of the songs are tailored to sound like other songs on the radio because it'll get a hit. I believe "Right There" only got a release because of the success of "What's My Name?" and they threw that unnecessary rapper on it.
July 16, 201113 yr ^ The rapper on Right There is called 50 Cent. I don't know why they chose Right There actually. It could've been because they didn't want 3 dance-pop songs in a row. I didn't really pay attention to which songs got cherry-picked the most when the album was released, but maybe they just based it on that? I know some artists do that (which makes sense, as the most cherry-picked are usually the public's favourites).

Oh, I didn't realize  He served no purpose on the track and brought nothing to an already average song.
July 16, 201113 yr I agree that he didn't bring much to the actual song (although I do like the instrumentals during his raps), but it's quite obvious that Interscope asked him to write some raps for the song for the US release. And if his verses help the song be a hit in the US, then it's worth it imo. And I think the song is absolutely brilliant (with or without him). But does anybody remember what the most cherry-picked tracks from the album were (apart from Poison, Don't Hold You Breath and Heartbeat)? If they're just going by that we can probably predict what the 5th single will be. Although I somehow doubt they're doing it that way because I can't imagine Right There would've been cherry-picked the most. I don't know, but I imagine the most cherry-picked song that hasn't been released yet would be Killer Love, being the title track, and for being similar to Poison and Wet. Club Banger Nation could have been cherry-picked well because of it's title as well. Just listened to Wet again. It really is amazing (like the whole album).

Wasn't "You Will Be Loved" quite popular?

I believe "Right There" only got a release because of the success of "What's My Name?" and they threw that unnecessary rapper on it.I disagree. The label obviously saw something in 'Right There', which made it a single. It also would have made the top 10 even without Fiddy's version. That never got too high on iTunes and usually, the one which gets remixed to feature a rapper replaces the original version and becomes the highest ranked song.

I don't even remember seeing the 50 video played here + the UK are really bumming Nicole here this era.

It went top 10, without the 50 version (although I'm not sure how high that version got tbh...)
