'The Power' This is a 90s number ones rate using every song that hit number 1 in the 1990s. What will happen is there will be 10 rounds, the first being 1990, then 1991 etc. up to round 10 which will be 1999. After the 10 rounds, the top 4 from every year will then be put together for one final rate which will make up a top 40 of the decade. How you rate the songs; you do not rate every song that hit number one, you just rate your ten favourites and your least favourite. You give +15 points to your favourite song, and the rest are as follows; This is to hopefully stop ties from happening inside the top 3. +15 Favourite Song +12 2nd Favourite Song +10 3rd Favourite Song +08 4th Favourite +06 5th Favourite +05 6th Favourite +04 7th Favourite +03 8th Favourite +02 9th Favourite +01 10th Favourite -02 Least Favourite, or Most Hated depending on what way you look at it These are the songs you need to rate from. You have 3 days for every round to rate. This means the deadline is Friday morning and hopefully round 3 (1992) will be up on Friday morning. March 8, 201114 yr *sigh* Adamski missing out to crappy Snap! is a low blow, but not unexpected. I'm surprised it came 5th though. And thank god Vanilla Ice didn't beat anything GOOD. Not bad results overall - fabulous winner, and Beats International/Madonna are worthy qualifiers also. +15 U2 - The Fly <<< The best U2 song by far. +12 The KLF featuring The Children of the Revolution - 3AM Eternal +10 The Clash - Should I Stay Or Should I Go +8 Vic Reeves & The Wonder Stuff - Dizzy +6 George Michael & Elton John - Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me +5 Enigma - Sadness Part 1 +4 Bryan Adams - (Everything I Do) I Do It For You +3 Cher - The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss) +2 Queen - Innuendo +1 Chesney Hawkes - The One And Only -2 Color Me Badd - I Wanna Sex You Up <<< This piece of crap was #1 the day I was born :puke2:
March 8, 201114 yr Anyone who fails to give 15 to Queen is musically illiterate (?) Why? I refuse to vote for Bohemian Rhapsody on principle because it's a 1970s #1, and These Are The Days of Our Lives isn't worthy of a vote solely for it anyway. Although The Clash is also an older song, but at least it wasn't #1 before like Queen, so it wouldn't look so strange qualifying in a 90s #1s rate unlike that. Just my opinion :D Edited March 8, 201114 yr by superbossanova

Just base it on what you think of the actual songs instead of making up some bull$h!t exclusion 'laws'... :P Edited March 8, 201114 yr by Bray
March 8, 201114 yr But it's supposed to be based on the songs, not the year of their release. Just because Bohemian Rhapsody was a 1975/6 #1 doesn't mean it's not also a 1991/2 #1. Just base it on what you think of the actual songs instead of making up some bull$h!t exclusion 'laws'... :P LOL, bull$h!t exclusion laws? Okay then. Yes, it's technically a #1 in both decades, but for me it's totally tied to the 70s. At least with The Clash you can somewhat give it a pass considering it peaked a lot higher on second release (similar to something like Sonique, which was released in 1998 but was re-released in 2000 and got to #1), and actually probably sold more in the 90s anyway. Totally different to Queen who sold more in the 70s. I would just be annoyed if Queen qualified (which they will anyway) over something else that is actually 90s in every way so I'm not going to contribute any points to help that happen. Simple as. Like I said, it's just my opinion. Get over it. You can all vote for Queen all you want, I was just saying why *I* didn't.

March 8, 201114 yr Anyone who fails to give 15 to Queen is musically illiterate (?) OR has differing opinions to yourself. I've always found the song quite overblown and horrible to listen to.
