It was the 40th most played song on the radio last week. That said, it's doing very well to be at #12. It's really not a huge amount of airplay it's gotten so far. But on the other hand, it's not like it's selling off no promotion.

 

It just seems odd that it started climing so high so rapidly last week, based on just a bit of airplay from an album that's already been released... I assumed the video had to be out for such a climb.

Yes, me too. It did climb very suddenly.

 

Not to mention, I remember it was a couple of weeks after I heard it on the radio for the first time that it appeared in the iTunes top 1000. Quite strange. So much that it'll probably go into free-fall now that it has a video. :lol:

Get ready, it could hit the UK like that in a few months. They're all original songs, so I have a strong feeling that they're going to do much better than the past covers have done.

 

They're not all original songs, only Loser Like Me, Get It Right and Hell To The No are (and that's only low top 10 on US iTunes).

Blackbird is a Beatles cover, Raise Your Glass is a P!nk cover and Candles is a Hey Monday cover.

There are a few other original songs in the episode but none of the others were released.

 

In the US they usually get a couple of them top 10, but not all, but one. I have a very strong feeling that they could do much better here than the past covers have, as they are original songs, not available to get elsewhere.

 

More often than not most of the songs make the top 10/20. Last week only 'Landslide' did well but this is certainly not the first time there's been a huge Glee invasion in the top 10, it's happened at least four or five times before and Glee has still thus far failed to be anywhere near as big here as it is there.

Looking at the pop bars, Nicole is still holding up. Adele won't overtake her for a while yet I don't think.
