I'd rather have Adele at her fifth chart double than Nicole at #1.

What you want and what's going to happen are two entirely different things.. ^_^

You and me both :)

I find the Nicole song so generic - Top 5 possibly but not worthy of number one imo

I'd rather we didn't have that boring song at number 1 yet again! :manson: It was a very nice song to begin with, but it's so boring and overplayed now already! :drama:

'Don’t Hold Your Breath has rocketed into the Number One spot, selling 58,276 since Sunday, compared to Adele’s 36,216.'

Is that a big gap or small? sorry i am new with all that chart thing.

Yeah, but which day is that up until? Not today, surely, it seems too low. And I would take Twitter with a pinch of salt, always..

this is from Wednesday after BBC announces charts update.

Okay thanks, if that's true I think it's safe to she's a dead cert for the top spot on Sunday ;)

You youngsters would have shrivelled up & died during the summer/autumn of 1991 then - if you think 4 weeks at #1 is a long time, then try 16 weeks for Bryan Adams! :P

I would guess that was up to Tues midnight - as an extraoplation would give Adele 80k for the week, which sounds about right.

People knew on TOTP as soon as they saw the house in the woods that Bryan Adams was No1. 4 weeks at No1 isn't bad. 16 weeks is much much worser :banghead:

And how long umbrella by Rihanna stayed at 1 place?

True - but LTWYL sold more peaking at #2, than Umbrella did in 10 weeks at #1.

Hadly surprising, given that they were both from different sales climates (2007 vs. 2010).

You, of all people, should know that :P

Someone just told me Rebecca Black is at 69 :o is this true

No

Actually Rebecca Black is at No85 actually.

i'm all for long reigning number 1's. Just not boring and dreary songs that seem to last forever when you play them! Such a shame as about 2 weeks ago I loved it just as much as everyone else, but yet again radio grabbed their mitts on it as much as they could lol. I'd much rather have had Jessie J at number 1 for 6 weeks or something :(
