Hurrah indeed. I've listened to her solo stuff quite a bit lately. I am really rather looking forward to a new album!

She has been tweeting new lyrics apparently! I don't think I can contain my excitement any longer, we have to hear new stuff soon. Just have too!

Oh I forgot about those. They make me 90% sure it's a will.i.am track. Awful lyrics about the bass and stuff just screams him. Don't know if the public want a Big Fat Bass/T.H.E from Cheryl.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about that. "We Found Love" is amazing for what the genre that it is, but it felt like the natural next direction for Rihanna. However with Cheryl, even though that sound will feel like a progression for her, it may be a bit too extreme for her 'hardcore' fans, especially as she hasn't released any particularly dancey tracks. Also, it seems Calvin's music is already starting to deteriorate, having heard his new song with Ne-Yo (and of course Tinchy Stryder's awful 'song' released last year).

Apparently Cheryl has recorded a 'mid-tempo urban ballad' written by Lana Del Rey which is tipped to be a single :D

Polydor/Fashination are trying to decide the first single.

Comments like this annoy me, no end! Why do people try and make it a bad thing that artists get certain promotional slots? (not just aimed at you april, I see loads of other posters do it too :lol:) Whether Will was on the show or not, I'm pretty sure she would have been given a slot. She would bring in the viewers, especially with it being the "rival" show to X Factor, in which she used to judge.

 

But promotion is promotion and in this day and age where music shows are pretty dead, to get a promotional slot on anything will be a big thing. Also, Will is only doing his job as a manager and getting her these slots, which is what managers are supposed to do aha.

Exactly, what's wrong with using your "relations" to get a promotionnal show on a very commercial show?

Plus she would get a slot on any show in the UK, I don't think she would need will.i.am for that. I'm sure the BBC will be happy with the "The Voice gets to premiere Cheryl's new single instead of X Factor" kind of headlines.

 

Anyway, I HOPE most of those speculations are true : Calvin, Lana, ... too much great collaborations on this album! It better be true.

I have big hopes for the Calvin songs actually. Cheryl has always had that sound and tone to her voice that would perfectly fit a dance/trance track. We heard the potential in 'Waiting' (one of 3 highlights from the last album for me). So I'm looking forward to those songs more.

I think she might leave clues on Twitter. Like the people she follows and such (I don't think she would follow Calvin Harris if she wasn't working with him for example).

I think Cheryl would be perfect for Dance/Club music, she is regularly played on the gay scene nightclubs and its perfect for clubs, still hear 'Promise This' and 'Fight For This Love' quite regularly (Nothing to do with my requests, promise ^_^ ) Plus they have been quite upbeat, I think that is where Cheryl has ben stronger really and she needs to change her sound. She can't just go round releasing the same type music as her previous albums, fans could get bored and we want to see progression from Cheryl!
