That interview was good, I thought. It's well known that Popjustice is a prick, so I approve of Cheryl sticking with her answers rather than saying "oh blah blah it actually means ****sleep****" - everyone knows that "Call My Name" is a fun pop song to get her name back in the spotlight, and once it's been a success, she'll release something with more meaning, just like the Messy Little Raindrops campaign with "The Flood" following "Promise This" (although that could be perceived as having some personal meaning).

Sound DECENT but not amazing. Eh. Less uptempo than I was expecting even with Cheryl saying it wasn't a dance album in the interview. Ghetto Baby sounds fab! Sexy Den A Mutha isn't bad either so I guess we can relax about the titles now.

'Sexy Den A Mutha' needs to get in my ears RIGHT NOW. Heartbreak over how that clip teases you with just the first few seconds of the chorus then rudely snatches it away.

'One Thousand' also sounds fantastic. Should be another mixed album from her.

'A Million Lights' is already my favourite song of hers just from that clip. I actually felt something just from the 15secs, actually sounds believable!? Her voice sounds decent and the productions great! Something about the vibe/atmosphere. Best live up to the clip!
I am really liking 'A Million Lights', 'Screw You', 'Sexy Den A Mutha' and 'Mechanics Of The Heart' so far from those clips. Overall though, it doesn't sound that good, which is disappointing as although her first album was only OK and the follow up was diabolical, I thought this could actually have potential to be good as she had much more time on her hands to do it well and put the time in. I have to say though, from the clips, it doesn't sound much worse than '3 Words', just the production sounds piss poor on some of the tracks, for instance 'Boys Lie'. I will try and wait for the full songs before deeming this to only be an OK album yet again, but from the clips, it is pointing that way for me.

I don't really think we can talk about the production until we can listen to HQ versions, I have Telescope in HQ because it was available in my country, not anymore though because iTunes got it wrong and they uploaded the same EP from the UK when they only wanted to upload Call My Name and one remix.

Anyway, my point was that Telescope sounds bad in that clip but the song in HQ sounds really great.

Loving the clips...it all sounds so much more polished than 'Messy Little Raindrops' which is definitely not a bad thing.

Whereas that album seemed really sloppily put together, it seems like a lot more care has been put into this one to make it feel more like an rather than simply 15 songs after one another. She said that in the popjustice interview but I wasn't sure if it would actually be the case!

Is it me or do the clips sound like she's bored/can't be bothered? They just seem lifeless to me. The production is a step in the right direction though. I just can't get past that she sounds bored on majority of the tracks (bar 'A Million Lights' - where I agree, she sounds so sincere and it's lovely from the clip) I'll still listen to this with an open mind though, as it's a Cheryl album. But I'm not expecting the full album to be too much better. (Hopefully it is though)

Isn't that a feature of Cheryl's voice, it's her tone of voice and it has always been like that... an example:

Girls Aloud (Cheryl) - Crazy Fool

No it's not her tone. I love her tone (I've always said this). She hasn't sounded quite as bored on the previous two albums for example. She actually sounds like she wanted to make those albums and was into them. But I dunno. Maybe it's the production of the album which doesn't compliment her voice as much? I dunno. But something's lacking by those clips. (But that's all they are, clips so hopefully the full thing will be better)
I feel completely the opposite, especially compared to MLR, album she has even said she really wasn't into it...

It's well known that Popjustice is a prick...

No it's not?! What's well known is that he asks some challenging questions rather than letting his subjects spout a load of PR he could just as easily get from a press release. His interviews are usually a pretty good indicator of which popstars have a sense of humour and which don't.

Album sounds like a mixed bag, as ever with Chezza. Under The Sun, Love Killer and Telescope sound great. Craziest Things, Ghetto Baby, Sexy Den a Mutha not so much.

Mechanics of the Heart sounds beautiful - what Happy Tears should've been.

My favourites from the clips are Mechanics of the Heart, Sexy Den A Mutha and One Thousand!

Boys Lie sounds horrible though!

Mechanics Of The Heart, Ghetto Baby, A Million Lights, Telescope and especially Screw You all sound really good! A bit disappointed on the whole though, she sounds bored on some tracks as Jonjo said and I'm not a massive fan of how much dubstep lite there appears to be going on...
She apparently claimed at the Summertime Ball today that either 'Under The Sun' or 'Screw You' will be the second single from the album. I am hoping for 'Screw You' as its probably my favourite of the clips.
