That offer is for most chart releases. (2 for £10 is the one for floppy/older albums)

Matt, is Justin's album going in that offer? If so I may take a trip to HMV on Thursday... :P

That's what I was about to say, 2 for 15 pounds, that's 7,50 pounds each, not much of a bargain.

Anayway, it better maintain its position in the top10, this album is too good to sell anything less than 400k.

I don't think he has :P Shame!

Since the album hasn't done great sales wise, hopefully we can look at getting a few more single releases! Anyone agree?
I hope this GA reunion doesn't get in the way of Cheryl releasing more than 2 or 3 singles for this era. Mechanics needs to be released.

As far as I'm concerned, this era can finish at the end of her tour & then HELLO GIRLS ALOUD, WELCOME BACK.

I think it's clear the label are only intending on 'Under The Sun' & 'Screw You' being singles.

Midweek #9 this week, while Justin is midweek #12. A little late to be ahead now, Cheryl! :(

I'm glad she maintains a top 10 position though, any extra week there is good, until the promo for "Under the sun" kicks (which shouldn't be before August :()
WOAH. These past couple of days (since I bought it actually!) 'Ghetto Baby' has grown on me, immensely! It is so, so, so good! I'm not even a Lana Del Rey fan, but although the structure is very LDR, the production is very Cheryl 'A Million Lights' and makes it sound amazing, imo. I love it when a song just unexpectedly grows on you like that!

I don't understand her, why she isn't promoting. Why does she disappears when she has music out? 1 month without a performance, an interview... just before her new single and album were released.

I don't get it.

There was promo into the album week! A lot of UK artists don't really do anything major between week 1 of their album and the lead up to the next single. I doubt we'll see her do anything else until August.

What promo? she did 2 signings of 500 people each one. That's all.

I see Rita Ora still doing promo even if she doesn't even have an album out soon, I see Paloma Faith still promoting the album, I remember Emeli Sandé promoting it between singles, same with Ed Sheeran... no festivals, no interviews, no performances. You can't sell your music without showing it to the buying public.

It's her choice though, she prefers to be at home. She's a bad popstar.

T4 performance, mainly! That was a good slot - not a lot of pop acts release an album having the opportunity to perform two album tracks. There was also G-A-Y, the album signing. The single being at #1 was great promo in itself, with the song very high on TV & Radio. She had interviews in print too. The exposure was definitely there.

T4 performance at 9:30 a.m on a Saturday is a good slot? I don't know you but my friends and I are usually sleep at that time... it would have been better to perform and be interviewed on daily shows like This Morning, Daybreak etc.

What promotion is performing at G-A-Y? performing in front of 500 people?

Having a #1 single the week before the album already did it's job, that's why she was #2 the week of release... the problem is how to mantain the album when she's nowhere to be seen, ffs, you're a GA fan, you know how they promoted... even when 3 Words was released Cheryl did different interviews during the following weeks. Even Bieber pre-recorded a couple of interviews for the week of release.

To be quite honest, I'm not as incensed about it as you are. :P At the end of the day if Cheryl's comfortable doing seemingly little towards promoting her album, then that's her look out & her team's, really. You & I did our parts by buying it, so there's no point in us arguing about it imo. My overall view is that her promotion was reasonably satisfactory.

The interviews thing is kind of a problem though. She hasn't wanted to talk about her personal life, and she has very little to say about her own music too. That pretty much leaves her with nothing interesting to talk about - evidence being that she reels off the same thing in all the magazine interviews, and all the journalists make comments that basically imply she is quite difficult. I think a stumbling block with Cheryl is that she's losing her connection with the public.

Cheryl has done more promotion so far this era than she did in the entirety of the last era, and probably the one before that too. I always criticized her for being more preoccupied with X Factor than with playing the part of the popstar, but I think she's definitely delivering so far this time.
Well I heard that she's due to release a "reveal-all" autobiography in the autumn, so we'll hear her view on her personal life there if so. I do agree that it was annoying when she brushed over Graham Norton's single question about it though.
She needs to get 'Under The Sun' video out there sooner rather than later (and hopefully bring the 'official release' forward a good few weeks.

That's true, she needs to change that pathetic attitude. I guess she knows the reasons why those 16 songs made the album and what she feels when she sings them.

I don't agree with this, yes she did more promo than with MLR but she has not done more than with 3 Words, plus she didn't stop working from October 2009 to June 2010, promo in the UK, international promo and a tour.
