Rebecca Black - Friday 57

Oh dear! Still climbing! :o

Also, this is a bit off topic, but I was wondering if the Glee songs might do better next week? Because I believe in the US they took a hiatus after this episode, but in the UK they won't, so we won't be so far behind them now, meaning the song might chart a bit higher? We'll have to see anyway.

I'm feeling quite sad just now. Ellie's new single is flopping, and it on the music channels and the radio. :(
Noah and the Whale up to 15, any reason for a climb of 7 places in about 5 hours?

There was about a 20 second clip on the BBC 1 Comic Relief trek coverage

Mcfly's -Thats The Truth has climbed back to 86 it must have been todo with EastEnders playing it tonight

I hope Rebecca is top 40 when I wake up!

Poor Parade. Just wondering if they will be top 10 on sunday. :(

Haha. Totally. It's like going back to the 90's again.

Infact, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre collaborated on their first 4 singles together back in 1992 and 1993!!! And they're both in the top 10 together almost 20 years later!! :o Skylar Grey was like 7 years old when they broke into the mainstream!

Hardly going back to the 90s when neither Snoop or Dre had a big UK hit in the 1990s, lol.

Shame Regulate is falling now :( But I really hope it's done enough to go top 40.

Don't worry, it already did enough to go top 40 sixteen and a half years ago.

So barely two weeks into it's chart career, and Britney is now officially behind the powerhouse that is REBECCA BLACK

I cannot believe people are even buying that garbage. The mind truly boggles. Some people really would like anything as long as it's catchy.

Oh, sorry. I know the songs, but I don't know their chart positions!

Gosh, that's pretty embarrassing that the UK were ignoring their songs back then. :( Some of them were really good. At least everybody is appreciating them now. :)

I kinda like Rebecca Black song

Oh WOW! :o

Go Noah! Why the sudden rise? Surely it's not the weekend effect?

22-12 is not bad after a small appearance in a TV show. May peak again this week hopefully! :D

It really has been like 'Hey, Soul Sister' in the sense that it's taken so long to peak, even though it's only a low top 20/high top 30 peak and still doesn't seem to be getting old. Hope people download their album thanks to that coverage. Truly great album!

I have it on repeat since waking up today  It needs to land inside Top 40 on Sunday Sunday, so the extra exposure could keep the "buyers" interested until next Friday as well. Some $h!t hits just need to happen!

And let's be honest it's more FUN and SUMMERY than the majority of the "serious" and "over-sexed" pop music that's in the charts.

Hopefully L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. will be the surprise top ten hit/climber of the year, like Bedrock this time last year (not that they could be more different )

I've always liked it but since getting the album, and ultimately an HQ version of the song, it's grown on me in leaps and bounds - fantastically feel good and deserves to be a classic of sorts. I'd always figured that when I loved 5 Years Time and Shape Of My Heart in 2008 it was just a sort of one off as I never have any loyalty to indie bands usually. But then the 2nd album was beautiful and the new album is brilliant too. I guess I'm a 'fan'!

In other Noah TV news, they played Waiting For My Chance To Come in its entireity at the beginning of Skins last night!

I saw that, it was the only reason I saw that Life Goes On had climbed so much because I only looked last night to see if Skins had an effect, it wasn't in the top 1000 and midnight but is now at 692.

Just Can't Get Enough is catching on GaGa! It's a bit weird to see her first single off the new album being out of top-10 relatively quickly, but it's very deserved considering the quality of the song.
Rebecca Black is currently at #46. Wonder if she'll continue climbing, considering it's friday...

Go Rebecca!

It's such a pain its not on 7Digital because I can't buy it without a credit card on iTunes. :(
