Bloody hell at SuBo/Peter Kay - the era of the Comic Relief comedy single is definitely over! Although the normal ones will probably continue to do well if they carry on picking relevant pop acts. Well it was over after Amarillo (which should have been a great one off) but they've kept on milking it to severely diminishing returns...

They'll have lost a ton of money pressing all of those CD and DVD singles :/

Thought Ronan's album might do a bit better than that actually, maybe it will climb next week as Mother's Day approaches...

Doesn't stop Adele with her two top-3 albums though.

I hope Nicole will get back to #1. I dislike the song but it's already at #1 and I dislike the returns to #1 more.

Chris Brown at #9

This will be his highest first week chart position

Debut charted at #29

Exclusive charted at #31 before going on to #3 a few months later

& Graffiti charted at #55

George Michael, Avril Lavigne, Ke$ha, Enrique and Bruno Mars [Just...] have left the top 40 singles chart from last week.

Highest faller of the week of 11 places goes to Parade.

Seriously wish Adele would fuck off and (not) die! (If she died right now, just imagine the reign!) This is like Black Eyed Peas 'Boom Boom Pow'/'I Gotta Feeling' takeover - only with the albums chart and not the singles...

On the singles front Nos 3 to 6 are basically non movers, with Adele and Nicole switching places top 2 wise, practically the top 10 singles has been given away.

Phew - I feel like I'[ve been released from prison on parole! :drama:

I looked at buying the comic relief single but its full price and includes a crappy dub mix, if it had been a club mix then I would have bought it.

So many new releases in the album charts :o

I'm glad The Strokes and Duran Duran are leading the race, both albums are epic !

Extremely surprised how well Duran Duran are doing!

I expected them to chart at #55 or something, like their last album.

I suppose the publicity about their TV special has added to sales - I don't see it staying top 10 but it should be top 15 which is really good for them!

Also surprised at the Human League being top 20, but it will probably end up top 40.

Born This Way out of the top 10 just to be replaced by trashy BEP?

Do you've got any position for The Naked and Famous on the albums? They will have a huge drop probably :(

oh whoops naughty me, I've missed out a new entry in the singles chart, that's like Reggie not playing a new entry on Sunday's chart show :drama:

I wonder how well it would of done had it not been available to download last December.

I Hope it remains in the top 10 until Sunday.
