March 22, 201115 yr Bloody hell at SuBo/Peter Kay - the era of the Comic Relief comedy single is definitely over! Although the normal ones will probably continue to do well if they carry on picking relevant pop acts. Well it was over after Amarillo (which should have been a great one off) but they've kept on milking it to severely diminishing returns... They'll have lost a ton of money pressing all of those CD and DVD singles :/ Thought Ronan's album might do a bit better than that actually, maybe it will climb next week as Mother's Day approaches...

I suppose the publicity about their TV special has added to sales - I don't see it staying top 10 but it should be top 15 which is really good for them! Also surprised at the Human League being top 20, but it will probably end up top 40.
