Posted March 24, 201114 yr Kat DeLuna is horrifically underrated! 'Whine Up', 'Run the Show', 'Am I Dreaming' and the mesmerizing 'Push, Push' were all amazing and this is NO different! I can't believe she is yet to have a huge WW hit. 'Run the Show' should have kick started it for her, but 'Push, Push' also deserved to be massive. Hopefully she can get somewhere with this  zwEMwnOr3g4
March 24, 201114 yr Push Push was crap. The first album produced some truly AMAZING pop moments (Am I Dreaming (minus Akon), Feel What I Feel, Love Confusion and particularly In The End and the mighty Animal are all 9-10/10) but nothing she's done since has come close.
March 24, 201114 yr Poor DeLuna. She has the material but it's just never happened, god knows how many times she's attempted. My personal favourites are possibly 'Unstoppable' and 'Run The Show' with 'Push Push' as a close third. Not overly keen on this though. Sounds samey. Edit: Looking at her wikipedia article, she's actually relesead her second album. Genuinely had no idea.
March 24, 201114 yr Can anybody do me a rather large favour and tell me the name of the 'buzz' single which came out after Unstoppable? From memory it was leaked and got quite a mixed response and didn't go on iTunes in the end but it was similar in sound to Unstoppable. It was way before Push Push debuted.
March 24, 201114 yr No no, I'm talking long before that. It was like the same time that Unstoppable came out.
March 24, 201114 yr The problem with Kat Deluna is that there's something undeniably naff about her - everything from her image to her over the top voice. Dancing Tonight is the first time she doesn't look or sound naff...and then comes the completely unnecessary salsa break. NO.
March 24, 201114 yr Dancing Tonight definitely has the best production of anything she's done since 9 Lives but there's something about it that never quite gets off the ground, like the chorus wants to take off but can't quite manage it. Still a really good song mind you.

Still a really good song mind you. Agree. The chorus sounds like a pre-chorus.
March 25, 201114 yr I must say I am a DeLOONa :kink: Jark do you mean Put It On? Tune  Edited March 25, 201114 yr by Little_Boyo
March 25, 201114 yr Author I think the finished version of this has been slowed down. I'm pretty sure the version that was sent to bjsc last month was faster and just generally better :( the same thing happened with 'Push, Push'.
March 26, 201114 yr Push Push was crap. The first album produced some truly AMAZING pop moments (Am I Dreaming (minus Akon), Feel What I Feel, Love Confusion and particularly In The End and the mighty Animal are all 9-10/10) but nothing she's done since has come close. I agree, the first album was surprisingly amazing and couldn't stop playing it all of Summer 2008
March 26, 201114 yr I really loved Run The Show at the time, and I revisited her 1st album thanks to BJSC entry, and it is AMAZING! May have to give the 2nd one a listen soon as well!
March 26, 201114 yr Run The Show is great but I always thought Whine Up was basically just an inferior version of it and really overrated. I've really got into Party O' Clock over the last few days. I might have to give the album a spin...
April 3, 201114 yr Can anybody do me a rather large favour and tell me the name of the 'buzz' single which came out after Unstoppable? April 3, 201114 yr No it wasn't Calling You either. It sounded quite alike to Unstoppable... heavy beats etc. I might have to ask on Popjustice. Anyway I am in full-on loon mode over Party O Clock at the minute and decided to give the album a go. To my surprise it's largely really solid, nothing as standout as the highlights of 9 Lives and it's lacking in balladry whereas that album had a couple of really gorgeous downtempos but Rock The House is great.
April 3, 201114 yr Author 'Turn Me Up'? Haha. I think we'll stop after this! LOL. Any luck on Popustice yet?
