I really really really hope that bloody awful 'Party Rock Anthem' doesn't go to #1! :puke2:

 

ISTM it is specifically designed to appeal to chavs - being both discordant, and containing liberal doses of r*p... :rolleyes:

 

Discordant?! :o I don't think any discordant song could be doing so well in the charts, unless it was a gimmick or a joke or something. Also, LMFAO are rappers, so I'd be surprised if they did a song with no rapping in. :lol:

The same goes with most US artists. Aiming a song at chavs won't sell it well when there are no chavs living in your country.

 

I'd say the most chavvy song in the top 10 is Someone Like You. I can vividly imagine the cast of Coronation Street or Eastenders getting drunk in one episode and singing that in one of those pubs they always seem to be in.

Have you forgotten about Mann 'Buzzin' which sounds chavvy, but of course Mann and 50 Cent are American so it is not purposely chavvy (N Dubz etc.). It's still a good song, I like hip hop, PRA is currently my fave song

These sort of posts annoy me I'm defientely not a chav and I love the song not everyone has to be a chav to like particular song u don't like

In any case, while I suggested that is was 'designed to appeal to chavs', I didn't suggest it couldn't appeal to anyone else.

 

TBH, I first thought of posting the comment 'designed only to appeal to chavs', but thought better of it, because I thought that'd irritate some poeple here - oh well, I can't win... :)

I'd say that SLY is the most "un-chavvy" song in the top 10 by a country mile ...

Guys, with the way the Females have been BRINGING it the past 4 months, do you think any Males will have any relevant success this year or is this a Female-Powered Year. You have Rihanna,Katy Perry,Kesha,GaGa. Britney and J.Lo coming back and Beyonce new album this year. And not forgetting our UK stars Adele,Jessie J and Katy B.

 

So who is going to take the crown from the Females this year? (Honest Question)
