yayyyyyyyyyyy. I enjoyed the last one!

I agree with Shoat, I personally prefer the idea of it being anonymous. On the first CD Swap, what I sent was a mixture of tracks I personally enjoyed listening to. I wouldn't wanna be swayed by the other members music preferences if I knew who I was giving it to.

But I don't mind either way. ;D

Did I get your CD last time?

Think I may be slightly more amenable if it happened this time (after having taken part in a few BJSCs now.)

Yup that was me.

I think there was just the one track you found to be meh and didn't completely hate

Don't let that put you off. I'm sure I'd feel the same - perhaps if you're in doubt, tracklist songs you hate. By some co-incidence, you might find the person reviewing your album ends up liking the tracks you chose. By "hate" I don't mean Rebecca Black style horrors, but maybe an indie band whose music you find underwhelming.

I meant to say I find it really difficult to review music. It's reviewing a cd with most tracks that I dont like that I find difficult.

Surely we can make knowing who your making them for optional?

As a slightly basic way of doing things, if we take the last four posters in the thread and say they're the only people doing it...

Tony makes for Josh

Josh makes for Shoat

Shoat makes for Silas

Silas makes for Tony

If Silas and Tony wanted to know who they're making one for but Josh and Shoat didn;t, that surely wouldn't be a problem?

True true, but I feel like it's better to pick one and stick with it. Right now I'm leaning towards anonymous, just because that's how it always has been done and we know it works. More people seem to be for that anyway.
i debated to myself. and decided anonymous is best.
yo i'd be up for this though i don't feel my music is alternative enough.. i mean i like a lot of alternative music i feel like you will all already know it? sounds like a good idea though

FIRST TRACK ON MY CD: JUSTICE CIVILIZATION!!!

n.e.ways:

I'm currently experiencing one oft he most stressful / hectic / nerve-wrecking weeks of my life. (Waiting to hear back on a job + an apartment, ugh omg the future), but after Friday things should be a little less stressful. This should go up this weekend, hopefully?

You could put it up when the BJUP results have finished... you know, like in October or something.

UP, CD Swap and Albums club

I dont think I have enough time to continue to listen to, assess and report on new music anymore.

I'm working all the time.

It doesn't always matter if all the tracks are new or not. Sometimes it's the flow of the mix that's important with a few new tracks to keep the interest up.

You got a Job? Congrats! :cheer:

Thanks Silas. I got a few weeks work with an accountant. It's a start. :D

My last CD wasn't alternative at all;

01 David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust

02 Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing

03 Shy FX - On The Run

04 Ou Est Le Swimming Pool - Dance The Way I Feel

05 The Beatles - Helter Skelter

06 Aerosmith - Seasons of Wither

07 Kid Moxie - French Disco In Space

08 The Kinks - Lola

09 Neon Indian - Deadbeat Summer

10 N.E.R.D./Santigold/Casablancas - My Drive Thru

11 Ben's Brother - Stalemate

12 Iggy Pop - Lust For Life

I just tried to create a collection of sounds and music that I love listening to.

Exactly. I submitted a CD that had the bloody CORRS on it, so I don't think anyone else needs to worry about not being alternative enough!

(As an aside, Josh - the Kinks, Neon Indian and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool tracks have now become I-Pod regulars!)

Thanks Silas. I got a few weeks work with an accountant. It's a start. :D

Nice!

That's more than I can do with an Accounting Degree  I can't even get an interview for HMRC to answer phones :drama:

Yeah this week has just been absolutely insane. This weekend will be too so I can't really promise 100% but I'm aiming for this Sunday.
