Cant wait to hear this in full now and see the video. From those pics though the video looks like it could be rubbish. For a song like this I just imagine some kinda huge video like beyonce's "run the world" or just have the babes singing on top of some building somewhere, going doing the usual route of a club video is going to take from the song

I'm really liking the sound of this, have had the chorus stuck in my head all day.

It'll be a shame if it does worse than Pixie Lott and the Saturdays' awful singles, but it probably will do.

I mean, honestly, it sounds better than most things The Saturdays have done.

Certainly it sounds better than the last thing the Saturdays have done :kink:

Friends Electric Remix has leaked. It's good too, but I preferred Johnson Somerset Remix, it's much more interesting production-wise. F-E remix is much more clubby.
LOVE this from the 1.30 clip the official one anyway
I love All Fired Up! I think it's much better than Freedom actually...

I like it, but it doesn't go anywhere. It's just another generic club track. Whereas Freedom is a proper anthemic pop song.

i'm gonna go against the grain here - i think this has hit written all over it!!! Top 5 easily. Great sound, anthemic and tbh it ould sound awesome blasted out! an't wait fir the hq¬
I think you could be right Rossco, I do wonder sometimes if as fans we get a bit too involved in things. If people hear the song and they like it, they will download it, no matter if it's Chase And Status or the Sugababes (whichever generation).

That thing works if said people can actually HEAR the song. But I can easily see all the TV/Radio snubbing the Sugababes this time, as they're now very uncool to be played anywhere. Just look at everything Eurovision-related in the UK.

Maybe I'm too pessimistic here, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Now it's the Sophie Ellis-Bextor situation all over again for me: I just want to have this (last?) album, as Sugababes never fail to impress me with their material, I listened to even 'Sweet 7' a lot, especially the singles. And 'Freedom', although I think the old-school En Vogue-esque production would sound better in the song, gives me hope that I'll enjoy the eighth album as much too, as well as 'Love Makes Me Crazy' does.

I am usually the most anti-4.0/pessimistic fan here, but....

I'm with Jark. That Somerset remix is incredible. INCREDIBLE. This could be the track they need to put Sweet 7 behind them and begin that road to recovery. With a brilliant 2nd single this era will be on fire.

Really good fanmade version now :

Sugababes - Freedom [Fanmade]

I think I now know how I feel about this song : I wish Sugababes didn't go down this dance-poppy route (again), but it's good at what it's trying to be. I do miss a proper middle 8, although the breakdown is quite nice. Hopefully the rest of the album (+ singles) has a little more edge to it.

Freedom is way better than The Sats, Pixie, and leonas new tracks.

Judging by that, I'd say:

1. All Fired Up

2. All About Tonight

3. Freedom

4. Collide

The top 3 are all very strong, Freedom will probably be second once it premieres! Collide is great too, it lacks something though.

Really excited for the finished version.

02 Freedom/All About Tonight

03 Collide

04 All Fired Up

I really can't fault this at all, it's sounding excellent. Heights above Get Sexy!
All Fired Up is terrible imo :( was gutted.

As I stated already in several topics I can see all the comparisons with those three songs irrelevant, as someone is going to change the release date anyway. Sugababes have probably done it and pushed it back to September, 19th, according to Jade on some interview.

But IF to compare, I'd say this:

1. All Fired Up

2. Freedom (maybe it'll go to the 1st place if I like the proper studio version enough)

I liked these two songs, they are really strong, AFU in a more club banger way, while Freedom in more 'classic' way. I do really hope they will release En Vogue - esque remix of the song.

3/4. Collide / All About Tonight.

Although I listened to both these songs several times, I still haven't remembered the melody. :melody: So I even can't rate one above the other. The reception for both from me is, as you can guess, poor.

I re-listened to them again and I still can't rate them. So BORING.
