November 12, 201113 yr That's 400k with some airplay though (a couple million AI), SFTTR has sold nearly 75% more with no airplay at all (it's probably been played a few times here and there but nowhere near as much as RHI). I do agree RHI could have been big as a single anyway but SFTTR is the obvious choice by a mile. RHI and TT would both be suitable as fourth single. Is it alright if I repin this thread seeing as it is a current single outside the UK now? To be fair, Set Fire to the Rain is being/has been used in a (couple of?) advertising campaigns, hasn't it? I do agree that Set Fire is a better choice but I don't think Rumour Has It would be anywhere near the disaster of a single choice in the US that it is in the UK!
December 2, 201113 yr I think this is the US artwork for the single: http://iplus4u.com/wp-content/uploads/Set-Fire-to-the-Rain-Single.png Stunning, and I very much prefer it to ours
December 3, 201113 yr Was there ever actually any official UK cover art for SFTTR? All I remember seeing was a fanmade one  This is now #25 on US iTunes, making good progress :D New peak of #56 on last weeks BBH100 as well. Edited December 3, 201113 yr by Bré

This is the official UK/Europe artwork, I assume it's what on UK iTunes - it's "source" on Wiki is Amazon FR: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6a/Adele_-_Set_Fire_to_the_Rain.jpg
December 14, 201113 yr LOL for a second i thought that was the video? I was thinking why have I not seen this yet :o  Its #8 on US iTunes now, so a video is a MUST. I wonder if it'll be shown over in UK, bit too late now? Well way to late. Still i'd love a video.
December 22, 201113 yr Enters the Digital top 10, moving up from 17 to 7, sales increasing 75% week-on-week to 100k giving it the honour of 'Digital Gainer' :D Moves up 34-20 on Radio Songs, up 35% to 44 million :D And up 8 places to #13 on the Hot 100 :D
December 26, 201113 yr the song was aleady a huge hit all over the world, including the UK & Europe, and now it's climbing into the US chart top 10... what is she waiting for b4 releasing a music video???? Why is she sooo lazy in that department, the album was released almost a year ago and she only released 2 music video from it, one shot through an iPhone... Adele, bring on the videos

December 28, 201113 yr Sales up 118% week-on-week to 217,000 :D Also has the Airplay Gainer award, increasing 16% to 50 million and moving up 20-17.
December 29, 201113 yr She has been ill - give her a break ffs. She doesn't have to actually sing to make a video though, and how hard would it be to make a simple video like SLY? Not to mention that they could have made an official video without Adele. Any video is better than no video. But they just can't be arsed, can they. Edited December 29, 201113 yr by Marina Hurts

Not to mention that they could have made an official video without Adele. Any video is better than no video. But they just can't be arsed, can they. Depends on how much rest her body needs - it may not do her good to go prancing about making a video. I saw a clips video for STFTTR the other day so..........
December 29, 201113 yr The thing is you can tell her label weren't banking on single succession. And were keen on selling just the album.
December 30, 201113 yr Bloody hell this is up to 2 now on US iTunes, seeing as airplay is fairly high and building, I think this could possibly be the song to take the crown once LMFAO fall :o A 3rd US number 1 in a row would be incredible!
January 5, 201213 yr US chart update: Down a place to #8 on the Hot 100, but up a place to #6 on Digital Songs increasing 23% week-on-week to 267k which is a fantastic amount, Someone like You's best weekly tally was only a bit better (275k) :o No airplay figure given in the report this time but it's a non-mover at #17 on Radio Songs.
January 11, 201213 yr Up four places to #4 on the Hot 100 this week :D Up 6-3 on Digital Songs, selling 203k, down 24% week-on-week (due to the gift card effect dying off). It got the Airplay Gainer honours again this week, increasing 35% to 73 million AI - although the report doesn't say what position it is in on the Radio Songs chart, we'll find that out tomorrow I guess :P '21' is #1 again on the Billboard 200, for a 15th non-consecutive week :D Down 14% week-on-week to 124k, but selling nearly triple the #2 (Drake on 42k). It becomes the 7th album since 1990 to spend 15 or more weeks at #1: 1 MC Hammer - Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em (21 weeks) - WTF  2 Whitney Houston - The Bodyguard (20 weeks) 3 Garth Brooks - Ropin' The Wind (18 weeks) 4 Billy Ray Cyrus - Some Gave All (17 weeks) =5 Vanilla Ice - To The Extreme (16 weeks) - again, WTF  How did these one-hit wonder rappers have such massive albums? =5 Titanic OST (16 weeks) 7 Adele - 21 (15 weeks) (I won't post another update in the SLY thread as it's now out of the Digital Songs top 10 but it's managed to just hold on for a nineteenth week in the H100 top 10 - down a place to #10 - matching Rolling In The Deep's stay. Ah well, maybe SFTTR can get to 20...) Edited January 11, 201213 yr by Bré
