BTW didn't chart until 3 hours in.

I'm pretty sure it was around #22 within an hour at most.

Yeah, I read the Pope said he didn't like one of Madonna's videos (I think it was Like a Prayer). If the Pope saying he doesn't like a song can't get it to #1, I don't know what can! Although if I were a Christian, I'd probably be so annoyed by the Pope, because every now and then he says something stupid in a public speech, and then a load of gullible people watch it on the news and assume that every single Christian on the face of the planet agrees with him.

About Madonna/Gaga, I don't mind them being similar tbh. Most artists in the charts are similar to artists they used to look up to. Just a lot of Gaga's fans should be a bit less defensive about it when Lady Gaga is compared to Madonna (or anybody at all, for that matter).

Is Mary Magdalene that Mary that gave birth to Jesus, or a different one?

No. Mary Magdalene was his wife and according to the Da Vince Code, had his child. We all know GaGa never shy's away from anything.

it was released at 2:00 and charted at 21 at around 5/6, so this has a chance to pick up

59. Judas - Lady GaGa

Really? I'm sure I remember it charting much quicker than that. Maybe I'm wrong...

BTW debuted at #21 around 3hrs after its release.

Hmm, I must be remembering it wrong then.

When was Judas released?

Eugh yes, her 'little monsters' annoy the hell out of me!

Hate how they always refer to her as 'Mother Monster'. Creepy.

Even as a Gaga loon, the creepy OTT 'Little Monsters' annoy me too. I refer to myself as a 'little monster' and maybe rarely slip in 'momma monster' but some just really make a bad stereotype for normal people who love Lady Gaga but don't go all OTT and attack anyone who even slightly dislikes her or any of her music!

Lol. Judas has leaked 4 days before release, and Judas betrayed Jesus 4 days before Easter. Coincidence?

Haha. Possibly.

 If it's intentional, they're really going all out with the symbolism and everything! :o

GaGa is one of my favourite artists atm but I wouldn't refer myself as a 'little monster', I don't go OTT about anything she releases. I wouldn't say 'Judas' is the best song she's ever done, but I loved BTW so I should love Judas in the long run as well - of course I've only heard it a few times and it takes time for a proper opinion to form on a song.

I hate it when artists call their fans something, its like the new thing now, and hate that its caught on, they are your fans, not anything else. -_-

#44 already, not bad, also small advert on front page under New & Noteworthy.

BTW didn't show up for 3 hours. This has shown up FASTER than BTW and this didn't have as much hype behind it, or a massive countdown to its release as no-one knew it was going to come out today, so tbh I think its doing fantasticly. I have to say, I was starting to get sick of Gaga, after being obsessed with her this time last year, but honestly 'Judas' is great, especially after the disapointment of BTW. I can now say I am a big Gaga fan again.

Yeah, a lot of artists seem to be doing it now. Although a lot of the time the fans give themselves the name first, and then the artist starts calling them that. I don't know which way round it happened with mosnters/Gaga though.

TBF I think iTunes was just frozen when BTW came out as when it did shoiw up it went straight in at #22.

But yeah. Judas actually is doing really well, maybe she can get another top 5 début - but will she actually climb to #1 this time?

EDIT: 39. Judas - Lady GaGa
