It is possible though, since Rihanna and Lady Gaga have both said they were inspired by Madonna, although we don't know to what extent, obviously. I've never seen Katy Perry say anywhere that Madonna inspired her though.

Oh, I was talking about the actual music. :lol: Don't have a clue about the videos, etc. Although Rihanna didn't really change her image between her first two albums. And I'm sure people did this before Madonna and Michael Jackson. But anyway, whoever develops into the iconic artists of this generation, I hope their influence can be seen in the actual music, not the marketing.

 

Also, I'm pretty sure a 13 year-old would remember Madonna's most recent era (i.e. 4 Minutes, etc.), and possibly the Hung Up/Sorry era too anyway. :lol:
