April 22, 201114 yr I just watched. It reminded me of one of those mid 00s Saturday night shows where they rope in people from Coronation Street to sing a tribute to ABBA or something. She looks like Samia Smith! I love the screaming drummer! :P Plus the backing track is pretty good. Was this at Melodifestivalen? Edited April 22, 201114 yr by Klumzee
April 22, 201114 yr In actual song contest related news, I listened to Hitstastic's entry yesterday and it's not half bad. The Dandy* has spoken. :D Should I just collect my prize now and we can scrap the actual results?
April 22, 201114 yr I love your sig btw Hits! Thanks  The whole "Royal Wedding" has been one long winded build up and I'm already bored of hearing about it on TV nearly every morning. :( So, this T-Mobile advert was pure genius comedy when I saw it for the first time and decided to share it with everyone here (even if people have seen it elsewhere :D ).
April 22, 201114 yr That track is on Absolute Schalger  It's pretty damned good. I love the bits at 2:30 and 2:55 where she looks like she's being electrocuted and/or having a fit I'll never understand how it was beaten in MF by this; 12ZBWE6rBNE Easily Sweden's worst (only bad) entry in the last 15 years. Complete and utter $hite, thank god I wasn't an MF loon in 2005, I'd have hit the roof when he beat Nanne. I was an ESC loon in 2005 though and did spend more than a short moment wondering what the hell Sweden were playing at. Thank god for Vanilla Ninja and Helena Paparizou (and Chiara and Nox to a lesser extent), saving it from being a complete shower of crap!
April 22, 201114 yr Author The closest parallel I can think of would be Brolle beating Eric Saade on jury votes.
April 22, 201114 yr The closest parallel I can think of would be Brolle beating Eric Saade on jury votes. I'd just like to know firstly; what the hell were those juries thinking, it was an obvious flop and sadly it seems to have kick started a run of misfortune for the nation at ESC, and secondly; what the hell were the public thinking voting it into second in the televote? Very much a case of 'singer over the song' I think. Even behind Nanne you had the wonderful Alcastar that surely warranted top two in the televote!

Very much a case of 'singer over the song' I think. Even behind Nanne you had the wonderful Alcastar that surely warranted top two in the televote! Indeed. But it was a very, very distant second in the televote - Nanne got almost double Martin's vote! Plus, surely you can't be forgetting the inspiration for Invincible, Att Alska Dig, by the one and only? :smoke:

Plus, surely you can't be forgetting the inspiration for Invincible, Att Alska Dig, by the one and only? :smoke: It really was another ESC 2002 situation wasn't it. $hite winner should have crashed and burned whilst 2nd, 3rd and 4th should have each moved up a place to make perfection!
April 22, 201114 yr Hey! I'll have you know my friend's girlfriend is black! I can't remember her name offhand...Latifah or something...but still, I am very fond of her!
April 22, 201114 yr Author You're about as believable as Carola when she claims she loves her backing dancers.
April 23, 201114 yr Can I still vote? I meant to vote earlier but then I went out and got drunk. EDIT - I've just read we have until 3pm, phew. Edited April 23, 201114 yr by Damon
April 23, 201114 yr Author Can I still vote? I meant to vote earlier but then I went out and got drunk. Yes, you can.
April 23, 201114 yr Oh bollocks :( I feel Glorious will not benefit from drunken voting like some songs may.
April 23, 201114 yr Who knows what I may vote for whilst drunk. I'd probably be best advised to leave it until tomorrow tbh
April 23, 201114 yr Author I'd rather you didn't risk it, it's happened before that people have 'left it to tomorrow' and then just not voted
