Tell ya what, ADFS must of sold a fair amount by now considering it only got to #37 on release back in 2005 it's always in the Top 500 itunes.

 

It probably has. It's a great song, and really well-known tbh. I wouldn't be surprised. Same with songs like Hot N Cold and Lose Yourself. They're always so high up on iTunes. They're probably selling loads over the years.

I remember when it came out it was on physical single only, not on download, which could have probably given it a higher position (even though download's percentage in the chart in 2005 was tiny compared to now) Got to be one of the biggest sellers not to make top 30 though?

Probably. I think the highest-selling song not to make the top 40 is Summer of '69, so I don't know if it's sold more than that or not.

I'm hoping it gets so popular that it is released a week or two earlier - it is good that they're not doing OA/OS for this but I don't want it to be frontloaded as I think it's a certainty for number one and will add to the list of great number ones. Right now Example's highest peaking single is Unorthodox which isn't very good, hopefully this single will change things for him and I think he can come back Calvin Harris style and get a number one and another big hit on his 2nd album :D

If Example is released as planned and LMFAO stay at the top until then, that would be eight weeks at the top (as it would be on top on May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and June 5). That would be amazing but I don't think it looks likely, and even if Chris doesn't get to number one, something else might pop up unexpectadly.

Yeah, I think the days of songs spending 8 weeks at #1 are well and truly over now. It was a huge shock Adele even managed 5 and that wasn' even consecutive.

No way will LMFAO get number 1 for 8 weeks :lol: Their sales fell about 10k for the week ending yesterday, and they're most probably gonna keep doing the same. Chris will soon overtake, or as Daniel said something random. LMFAO will get 5 weeks at the very most.

That wasn't really a shock, the first 4 weeks PT was number 2 and that didn't look likely to go back to the top, and the fifth week was because Nicole was frontloaded and Adele had good sales, plus, no big new releases were out at the time

When is 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me' getting released? :o I thought it was getting released in 2 or 3 weeks, not another 6 or so weeks.

 

Then again, I reckon the record company have planned the release to get its airplay increased and a music video shot, edited and premiered in time for its release resulting in big first week sales. Hopefully it will go to #1 as I think it's Example's best track so far.
