May 4, 201114 yr So it turns out Sam wasn't gay/bi then! (It was obvious as soon as the first time Finchel spied he was caught with Kurt) But what really happened with him was sad! :( 'Go Your Own Way' was magnificent! I really love it as was the Quinn and Finn duet and the last song. 'Dreams' bores me but Artie's was alright though. Overall a good episode. Surprised April wasn't featured more tbh. But may be it was for the best. Santana was as good as ever. Brittany was excellent too! NEXT WEEKS EPISODE THOUGH! :o QUINN LASHING OUT! VERY INTERESTING!
May 4, 201114 yr Good episode. REALLY loved Sam's story, and was good to see a different side to him. I don't think that Chord is a brilliant actor, he was a bit wooden I think, but I still felt immensely sorry for him this episode. Loved the ending with the kids and ND's performance. Santana continues to be amazing, and Brittany was awesome. Heather Morris is actually a really good actress. I also felt sorry for Artie. Kristen was used to right amount. Not too underused but she did what she had to. QUEEN TERRI OF LIFE IS ON FIRE STILL. Sue was meh. Performance wise my favourite was Go Your Own Way, and the finalé Don't Stop. Santana's was emotional, I was bored by the Finn and Quinn duet and also Dreams. Looking forward to next week SO MUCH. It looks epic. Quinn slapping Rachel was a definite shock, and the return of Jesse St. James looks good.
May 4, 201114 yr This is a spoiler thread. Those watching at UK pace shouldn't be entering this thread, just yet. Everyone knows that :P The spoilered bits are for a future episode that isn't in relation to what went on in this episode.
May 4, 201114 yr Author Didn't reckon much to this episode, lots more could've been done. April wasn't really needed imo. I liked Sam's story, along with 'Don't Stop' & 'Go Your Own Way', along with any scene with Santana and the Fondue-For-Two. But I'd have liked to see a bit of Dave, or they could've carried on 'Santana plays for the other team' a lot more as Brittany's joke, although quite amusing, kinda ruined it. Quinn was just a bitch, with her duet. Ahhhhh! What happend to Sam? His dad lost his job so his family (parents & little brother & little sister) are having to live at a motel, and have had to sell a lot of their stuff. Edited May 4, 201114 yr by Jaack Sykes
May 4, 201114 yr Really fillery episode. It was nice to see some characte development for Sam, who's addition this series so far has been utterly pointless. And there were some nice songs too, Fleetwood Macs discography isnt something that I'm overly familiar with but I might dig out 'Rumours'. April's return was small but brief, and her scene with Terri and Sue was quite marevellous. Other than that, an unremarkable episode.
May 5, 201114 yr Really liked this episode The sam storyline was different and unexpected I love the santana and Britney storyline. Santana's solo was perfect. Better than any solo performance i have heard from Rachel this season. April's return was ok. Didn't have any relevence really. It was a tiny ploy for Sue to create tension betweem Will and the glee club and it didn't work personally. I think i may check the rumors album out. I was impressed with what i heard. May 5, 201114 yr I agree with Aled that it was quite fillerish, but at least the episode had enjoyable points, unlike 'A Night Of Neglect', which was very boring. There were some good covers in there too, so I played my parents's vinyl of the original album - but you could tell that the Glee covers hadn't really changed anything, which I guess was disappointing. Felt sorry for Sam, too, after being one of the only people that actually likes him, so it was nice for him to have a point.
May 5, 201114 yr An okay episode. I felt really sorry for Sam. :( April was hardly featured in it, which came as a shock to me. I was glad though, I'm not too keen on her. Loved the songs, mainly 'Go Your Own Way' and 'Songbird'.
May 5, 201114 yr One of the best Glee episodes in ages imho. I was really intrigued on how they would incorporate 'Rumours' into a full episode, but I think they pulled it off amazingly well. Okay, the covers where not great, but it's such a great opertunity for fans of Glee to be introduced to music by bands/musicians such as Fleetwood Mac. Good episode!
May 6, 201114 yr What an awful, dreary, pointless episode. One of the worst of the season. It was difficult not to just abandon it altogether. The music, whilst some of it was quite good, just felt squeezed in any old how for no reason - although I do give SOME credit to Glee for trying to introduce a new generation to some older music rather than recycling the same karaoke hits over and over, but this fell flat for me. There wasn't even a highlight so to speak in this episode. Sue was brief and not as funny as usual, April was severely underused and somewhat pointless. Just MEH at all of it.
May 7, 201114 yr Songbird was amazing! I'm half way through the Ep and i'm completely bored. THIS HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE ACAFELLAS. :(
May 7, 201114 yr YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME QUINN HAD VOCALS IN TWO SONGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dies*
May 9, 201114 yr The ratings for this and Born this way have have been rather low. Like 8 million. I guess that's modest This and Born this way have for me been two of the highlights from this season yet they are the lowest rated of the season so far.
May 19, 201114 yr I have started watching Glee this season, I didn't watch any of the first season but thought I'd check out the second to see what all the fuss is about. I have to say I actually really like it, and the reason why I chose to comment on this topic inparticular, is because this episode highlighted one of the reasons I like the show so much - it opens the audience up to tracks they would never have stumbled across usually. I wasn't really familiar with Fleetwood Mac at all, but a lot of the tracks sounded excellent so I decided to download some of the originals and have been listening to them constantly, as well as the Glee versions too. Oh, and I thought Songbird was a bit ropey? Not a patch on the original. I know that's not the intention of the show, to better the originals, but I didn't think it was done particularly well, don't let her sing the song if she doesn't have the register to hit the notes! The entire song was more or less sang in a different key, which detracted from it I thought.
May 22, 201114 yr I've been getting into Quinn and Finn's version of 'I Don't Want to Know' recently! It's excellent! Probably the most underrated from this episode  Although ALL the musical numbers from this episode (bar the dreary 'Dreams') are not much short of being brilliant.
