O love Dynamite with J-Lo too  And Tom, were you? :o Maybe I'll give the thread a bump and give it one last go! :P I was so hyped for it and it failed :( I have plenty of YT vids to use if it does happen :D

Fail to see the love for JLO on Dynamite but each to their own. She is terribly auto tuned, like Britney on S&M. Therefore it's un bearable to actually listen to it.

I dunno, but autotune really doesn't bother me. You know these people can sing, so what's the problem with them using a different vocal effect?

And yes I was Liam, but only because I was going to do The Flood and it was too difficult :(

Tom has a point, Autotone is fine on artists, lik J-Lo, who actually can sing and who just want a different sound.

By "The Flood", I hope you mean Katie Melua and not Cheryl or Take That? :P

Katie would have been inspired, but no I meant Take That :kink:
I loved the remix with Taio Cruz and Sugababes for She's Like A Star. There is another one with Sugababes and Busta rhymes. It isn't a remix i adore or play a lot but i feel Sugababes's vocals go well on the song and plus it was the only piece of music i liked from them as i never liked their Catfights and spotlights era.

I also like the Kylie version of Higher. I Liked the original but i think Kylie and Taio's vocals really connect well on it. I felt Travie mccoy's imput on the other version ruined it.

I second the love for this

Meh, I do like the TT version so I'll let you off :P

I can't think of any to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of remixes anyway and not very keen on rappers being added to songs at all. Not that all remixes with added artists = a rapper being added though but in most cases it is and usually in place of the middle 8. Case in point being Higher by The Saturdays with Flo Rida shoe-horned in place of the great middle 8.

Absolutely. Leave the original alone - in virtually every single case.

For me, I prefer as many different versions as possible, then I listen to them all and choose my favourite.

The Till The World Ends remix, JUST for Nicki Minaj.

This thread just reminds me of the horrendous Slim Thug remix of Luxurious. I hated the entire song originally (clearly a terrible single choice) but over time it's oddly become one of my favourite tracks from Love, Angel, Music, Baby. I always laugh at the video. Whoever told Gwen to go chola was an idiot and you can tell she doesn't want to get any closer to Slim Thug.

I did love the original single version of Luxurious with Ludacris though, they must have made a deal with Fergie and gave it to her.

Yeah, if they were using autotune on Britney in S&M, I would've think they'd've tried to make her voice actually sound better. It's a great remix though, but could've done with a bit more work on the vocals imo.

Wow, I never realized that about Glamorous/Luxurious! :o It's funny, because I used to think the two songs were kind of similar, but I never realized they originally started off with THE SAME SONG! :o

Nas's remix on JLO's I'm gonna be alright. One of my favourite songs from her and it's one of the few rap verses i know off by heart and i feel he just improves the song, despite being an artist whose solo stuff i've never enjoyed.
