I'm not expecting this to do anything in the UK. It'd be great if it is a hit, but that seems highly unlikely after the poor performance of the first two singles.

I think it's better to not expect anything and be pleased it if makes the top 40 rather than have huge expectations of how well it'll do just to be disappointed (as always seems to be the case)!

I really don't care about the UK TBH. She's f***ing killing it in my country. :kink:

Over on MTV.com, Britney and her 'I Wanna Go' music video are currently at number 1 on both MTV Picks and Most Viewed!

Also, on the front page they have a "handpicked treat" in the form of a link to an 'I Wanna Go' related entry in the Buzzworthy Blog:

Over on VEVO, it's the most watched video Today and 3rd most watched this week. Unfortunately, the only numbers it gives are lifetime views regardless how you filter the video results, but it's already over 9,800,000 views total so far in its short lifetime.

I've seen the video a few times on UK tv, but it's been only on the obscure cheap Sky channels :( I would love this to be a hit, I can see it probably just making the top 40, when it should be her biggest hit since Womanizer...
I guess I just don't "get" the video, but to me, that's her worst video since '3'... and I'd say even that had redeeming qualities! Also, a lot of the in-jokes don't really appeal to someone who isn't a fan; I for one don't understand the Crossroads reference, and I'd say I was a fan of Britney's music... Ah well, at least it's becoming a success in the US, but I doubt this will ever become big in the UK unfortunately.

Although I want this to be huge, I think she's pretty much over in the UK now. Hold It Against Me charted at #6 but then fell pretty quickly despite OA/OS and the peak for Till The World Ends was embarrassing in the UK.

I never really liked Hold It Against Me but Till The World Ends and I Wanna Go should be top ten smashes in the UK. If she came over and did loads of promotion she could save this era!

I guess as long as she is successful in her home country, then we'll probably get more music out of her, but its so sad to see the UK just switching her off.

You are too young.

Hmmm... this will do absolutely nothing in the UK. Maybe when the UK leg of the tour starts she'll make some promo, but seeing that won't be until October, maybe the promo comes in time for a fourth single and that one manages to break the Top 10.

It's just a reference to "Die Hard 2: Die Harder".

It's just a reference to "Die Hard 2: Die Harder".

And what's that got to do with Britney Spears...?

Because her film was 'Crossroads' so she spoofed 'Die Hard 2', by calling the unofficial sequel, 'Crossroads 2: Cross Harder'... :P
And what's that got to do with Britney Spears...?

There's references throughout the music videos to various films and MJ himself... don't have anything necessarily to do with her.
