Sadly Jermaine Stewart is no longer with us, died from Aids age 39, 17 March 1997

He should have taken his own advice then ;)

I heard Hey Baby once on Capital. :kink: It's just that it got to #1 on US iTunes, if I remember correctly, so I found it strange it did so much worse in comparison here. :(

I agree with though, I think Give Me Everything is more generic than Hey Baby. If it wasn't for that really weird instrument in Give Me Everything, it would be really generic imo. Hey Baby is less generic. The beat is "harder" (sounds like S&M actually), and there's lots of autotune in the hook, rather than a nice little Ne-Yo melody.

Good point about Give Me Everything being #1 without Radio 1 and front-loading! :o It also got really high on iTunes before it even got a music video! :o Is it just that good, or what? I think Hey Baby is better though. It's so good to dance to. Give Me Everything is more of a "song", if that makes sense, and it focuses too much on the lyrics imo.

I had hoped Lady GaGa had covered the 60's hit "Hair"

Give me a head of hair, long beautiful hair, hair hair hair hair haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hair down to 5 on my itunes

I think it's more likely your feed has reverted, there would be no logical reason for it to be falling already. Then again, Love Love did start falling very early, but I still think your feed has just reverted.

Give Me Everything is doing so well because of the names involved and its the sort of thing that's popular here atm, a US 'club banger', my problem with it is its just SO generic, I admit I didn't expect it to go to number 1

Hey Baby didn't have support as already mentioned, plus T-Pain's isn't the biggest of names

omg me too! Even if she did a new interpratation- THAT woulda been hot and waay better than this "Hair" lol

Pitbull, assuming he does get to #1 this week, will improve on B.o.B's time between an artist's first 2 number ones (Airplanes got to #1 8 weeks after NOY got there, GME will be at #1 7 weeks after OTF got there). I know John Lennon definitely has the record for this but I wonder if Pitbull is now 2nd in the list?

Why does everything that gets autotuned gets to #1, I'm not into the Pitbull track at all.

It's nice to know GME got to #1 without R1 playlisting.

It gives me hope that a certain artist can get to #1 even if she doesn't get R1 support when she returns. :kink:

GME doesn't have autotune in it... or at least it's not obvious from listening to it.

Glee really has helped Fleetwood Mac and brought their music to a whole new generation. Their 'Rumours' album is up to number 2 on iTunes! I know so many people who have seen the episode and said they'd like to check out the original album. (As I'm doing now - and it's FANTASTIC!)

It's a shame such a good band needed bloody Glee to appeal to the current generation... :(

(I sounded like an old man there :P)

Rumours could overtake Bat Out Of Hell in total chart weeks (although I think the chart weeks are inaccurate on chartstats.com anyway). BOOH is on 469 weeks, Rumours on 465.

I know this is a bit of a pain to ask, but could whoever does a top 300 update include Keri Hilson 'Pretty Girl Rock' as it's being re-released on 4th July (day after my birthday!! :o) It's currently at #283. Thanks :D

Give me Everything is always being played on Capital.. I would say Capital might be more popular than radio 1 in Scotland tbh.

Really hope Give Me Everything makes #1! :D

Cant believe Gaga has 3 out of the 10 songs inside top 10, thats really impressive! Her album is going to be huge.

Considering it's only 3k behind Bruno Mars in the first set of midweeks and is ahead on iTunes, I think Pitbull stands a strong chance of going to #1. Unless another song during the week comes out of nowhere and grabs the #1 right at the last minute.

Good news, hopefully it does, I know its not very unique and quite the same as so much out there with the club-theme but tbh its catchy, summer/good-vibe, Ne-Yo is great on the song, just really like it. :) Sounds fresh everytime i hear it.

Olly Murs - Busy is going no where right now, not making any progress! COME ON, it deserves top 40 at the least, not groundbreaking, but its top 40 worthy at least, is his 4th single i suppose off a successful album.
