What's with the Breakaway hate? Amazing album and easily in my all time top five.

I'd place Stronger third in a ranking of her albums behind Breakaway in first and My December second. Thankful fourth and All I Ever Wanted fifth, I got nowhere near as into it as I usually do a Kelly album, it felt so hollow and impersonal coming straight after My December.

 

That is exactly how I would rank Breakaway. One of the best pop albums of the last decade. Only Sober and Stronger have stood out to me as Breakaway level songs since.

 

I pretty much agree with that rate too, I'd just give Hear Me a 9.5/10, I think IHMFLS is the least good track. Breakaway is a masterpiece either way, I remember vividly the whole era it was amazing!

Breakaway was an amazing album for its time (04 being the time for pop/rock P!nk' 'I'm not dead'). Looking back now it's still a great album but not as strong as Stronger or even All I Ever Wanted.

No. (But I'm biased anyway as 'Breakaway' is my all time favourite album) but I'd say it's better than 'All I Ever Wanted' (despite there not being as many obvious standouts) and probably just a bit better than 'My December' for me.

'Breakaway' was the first album/era where I actually bothered to follow an act/take notice of a particular artist on my own accord and follow them through that particular era. It will always be quite personal to me and it's one of only two albums where I remember listening to it all the way through and not wanting to skip a track, just because I thought it was THAT good. (The other being Britney's 'Blackout' - which is my 2nd all time favourite album).

Breakaway was an amazing album for its time (04 being the time for pop/rock hello p!inks i'm not dead anyone but breakaway was a solid album nonrtheless but i prefer stonger more than any of her toher albums incluiding all i ever watned.

Yes apparently a Texan being republican is news to everyone.

I think its a hundred times better than Breakaway. Once you take away the singles Breakaway is pretty bad.

I am a massive fan of Breakaway I really do think its one of my all time top 15/20 albums, but to a certain extent I agree with this statement. The majority of the album tracks are all good but nothing amazing but its the utter utter amazingness of all the singles that really makes it so good.

I would love some. But I'm sure she'll probably wait until summer.

She's touring the US until April so I would expect a tour around May possibly later. Also she's performing at the Grammy's next month :D

What Doesn't Kill You is #13 on itunes in the US :cheer: this must have happened fairly recently and fairly quickly as i dont think it was even top 200 a few days ago, this is one of the best songs she's released in a long time i hope its massive for her.

It's around that point in the UK also! :D Very, very pleased! It's an amazing song, but it's exceeding my expectations already! I was expecting an 'I Do Not Hook Up' style flop! Glad I'm very, very wrong though! :D

She performed it on SNL, which has given the song a huge boost.

I'm very pleased with how well it's doing at the moment! Like Jonjo said, I was expecting it to chart similarly to 'I Do Not Hook Up'! If it managed to reach the top 10 in the UK, it would be brilliant. :D
