Pleased they're midweek #1, even though I guess they won't make it come Sunday.

I have to say I am really rather PRONE to a bit of The Wanted after months of them having passed me by entirely. I do not like 'boy bands' as a rule but they don't seem to take themselves seriously and they bring the tunes. Kind of like a male Saturdays and certainly preferable to JLS.

 

I was about to post the same to be honest. When they started, I found "All Time Low" interesting but still boyband-tacky and they were always kind of a second rate boyband to me. But that has changed in these few months, they keep delivering some tunes, and their campaigns are always very well put together. Right now JLS look like the joke. Well done everyone.

 

And although I hate the line "we might as well be playing with lightning", which doesn't make much sense, I do think the song is a tu-u-une and another Ed Drewett pearl!

I instantly prefer the Wanted to JLS. They are a lot more original!!

Really looking forward to this album, All the clips sound brilliant.

They've already confirmed the forth single to be 'Warzone', with the video being filmed in New York around about now. I've not listened to the album clips yet, but I hope the song's a lot better than what we've heard already, as I am quite disappointed by the singles thus far. Source.

Another good single I think, based on first listen. Should grow and sound even better in HQ.

 

Wasn't too sure about the iTunes clips, I hope the actual album is at least as good as the debut which I think is strong but not amazing, not filler-ish as such but not many more would have worked as singles.

Another great single, I think it seems a bit more subtle as the hook is really good but it doesn't seem as powerful as with their past singles. The video is OK but I wasn't sure about the part where they're all individually shown catching the girls out.

Average video, just like all their others. Quite like the song though. 'The Weekend' HAS to be the fifth single, easily the best track on the album.

Just heard Glad You Came and Warzone, both for the first time.

 

Oh my GOD they are wonderful. Especially the chorus of Warzone (forgetting how horrific the lyrics are of course).

 

IN LOVE WITH MAX'S VOICE TOO.

This is easily their best album out of the two. There are some great tracks on the album and two of the bonus songs on the deluxe are among my favourites including "where I belong" and "dagger". Weekend is excellent too.

I just read this is being re-released next year, with 2 new tracks. One is written by Example and is called Chasing The Sun, which I suppose is plausible, and the other is called Jealousy and it's a duet with... Rihanna... I mean I know she gets around but I doubt she'd work with someone like these guys...

Rihanna & The Wanted? Thats a strange collaboration. I read on the net that the Wanted were going to release a deluxe edition next year of their new album which included a lot of leftover tracks...but they have already released a deluxe anyway. It will be nice to get some more tracks as really like the material on their new album and its streets ahead of JLS.

Rihanna? Hadn't heard that one. Did know about the Example track though, and the re-release which is BLOODY ANNOYING. Can artists just stop now please? Fair enough if it's 8 tracks (although that would be better released separate), but if they've just got those two new tracks.

I still think Lightning is the best thing they've ever done.
