Didn't one of her managers say it was a buzz single or something? I remember someone saying that in the US iTunes thread.

No they didn't, that's incorrect. "Run the World (Girls)" is the official first single and has not been relegated to 'buzz single' status.

It's not be relegated to a buzz single, if that is what you're trying to say there. It is still the first single, nothing has changed. Why are people assuming that it's been changed to a buzz single?

Well whatever. They're rush releasing a second single, that's my point. Run The World was supposed to be all kinds of huge... except it peaked at #33, most likely will never make the top 10, and even the video couldn't ignite interest. Don't get all pedantic - a flop's a flop!

I suppose most people assume it is a buzz single due to the fact that hasn't made the hype that everyone expected from an artist as huge as Beyoncé, and secondly its debility to make impact to the audience. I don't support this, but i think it's how common people see it (aside people involved with music etc.).

I don't think they're rush releasing a second single, as I'm pretty sure that releasing a second single was the plan anyway. If "Run the World (Girls)" hadn't leaked, it most likely would've been the hit that they were looking for, as it went Top 10 Worldwide but then fell due to all the promo and video being too far in the future to help it. Releasing a second single before the album is a standard thing to do, and I don't think it'll be released for another week yet anyway. Regardless, I hope it's a hit. I also didn't say it wasn't a flop, but it will most likely out peak #33 on the Billboard chart, though I doubt it will get anywhere near the Top 10. However you're wrong in saying the video didn't ignite interest as it helped the song shoot back up the chart in every country.

I think we're missing the point here tbh. Run the World peaked at #2 in South Korea.

This has to be on the front of every newspaper ASAP! Big News.

Judas :right: #11

Born This Way  #13

Edge of Glory  #20

Gaga's singles combined using livepopbars.

I would've been MURDERED if I said I liked The Saturdays when I was 14! :o When I was 14 it was cool to like 50 Cent, Linkin Park and Britney Spears.

With my friends, it's 'cool' to like Eminem, Pitbull, Chirs Brown, Rihanna etc..

Seriously though, I wouldn't let anyone take you down for your taste in music...

Watch out the BEPs are coming up the rear with "Don't Stop The Party" performed on SYTYCD.

Honestly I did not like the track one bit

Cool to like Chris Brown!? :o Well, I guess Look At Me Now is a cool song to like, but back when it was all about the likes of With You, No Air and Forever he wasn't cool to like at all! :o

Yeah, Pitbull was cool to like, but he only emerged during my last year at college, so he wasn't very relevant really. Rihanna kind of. She became cool after Umbrella where she became all hot and sexual. I always take pride in myself because I became a fan of hers after Unfaithful. :D Eminem was always cool to like really. Especially when I was younger. Similar to Britney at the time, just all the opposition he got from conservative adults made him more and more popular. :D

One of my friends was a fan of Glee Cast though. Which is THE worst artist to be a fan of if you want street cred. And yes, he was gay. He used to bring speakers in and blast their songs out and everybody would get really angry. He had a very Buzzjack taste in music really. He loved Katy Perry, Chirstina Aguilera, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Avril Lavigne, etc.

:yahoo:

But if you don't like it, you're looking at it the wrong way. If you think of it as a song, it will sound dreadful. You should think of it as a soundtrack.

The average life expectancy in South Korea is 79 years old, so it is quite an achievement.

What does that have to do with... anything?

So much the same as here then? Eric, you do make me laugh

errrr... all I heard was a lot of noise.

It's just that I simply don't think Beyonce cares that it hasn't gone top 10 in the UK. If she wanted it to be a massive hit in the UK she'd've called it "Run the United Kingdom".

But it hasn't been anywhere approaching 'massive' anywhere.
