Wow Capital just played I Need A Dollar followed by Inna, they're really varying up their playlist! And its kinda good they play the songs a few weeks after release which allows them to be boosted up (like when they started playing INAD + My Saxobeat)

Well, they are all top 20 on iTunes. :kink: They're not genre exclusive, they just become so if the chart is.

I didn't hear the other two on there for a long time after their release, but they were actually playing Mr. Saxobeat before it got put on iTunes! :o With Capital they usually play new songs at night for a few weeks before moving them to day-time play. And new artists they tend to take longer to start playing, whilst with established artists they tend to start playing their new songs literally as soon as they're announced.

I mostly agree with you, SIX! 'Taller' is their most successful album though. It is the their only album which sold over 1 million copies in Europe, and 'Push the Button' is their biggest worldwide song ever. And funnily enough, but 'Get Sexy' sold less than 'Girls'. It's because they did kinda 'on air - on sale' thing with 'Girls' putting the download 2.5 weeks before the physical release which attracted at least 30-40k additional sales for them.

As they are most certainly performing on BGT we shall just see if their song is at all good. Hopefully it will be... To be honest, I just want another album from them, I don't care much about chart position, as they will indeed most probably flop again.

When do capital announce their playlist?

I don't think they have a proper written playlist like Radio 1 do. They have one on their website, but it doesn't very accurately represent what I hear on there tbh, so it's not very useful: http://www.capitalfm.com/on-air/playlist/

^ Some of the songs really need to go. Someone Like You I hear on there TOO MUCH, and same with Bright Lights, Bigger City and especially now they've added California King Bed.

They've got weird songs on there like Love Love by Take That, Save the World by SHM and Hair by Lady Gaga, but again, top 10 on iTunes, so they get added...

And they've got Alex Gaudino and Example's unreleased songs on there too.

For example if you look here: http://www.capitalfm.com/london/on-air/las...&find_song=

They played Vato Gonzalez, the new Martin Solveig song, the new Jason Derulo song, the new JLS/Dev song, as well as Mr. Saxobeat, Inna and Yasmin (who people claim is only played on Radio 1) in the space of half an hour.

Cee-Loo Green Bright Lights Don't get me started on that song either.

Delighted to see Nicole Scherzinger playlisted and hope Sats are soon aswell!

Thanks Eric!

Yeah, so basically, if you want to know what they play, look at the chart. Like 4 or 5 years ago Capital would've been playing the likes of My Chemical Romance, Orson, The Kooks, etc, believe it or not.

Really? I didn't know it was successful in Europe. :o I guess PTB being the lead single helped a lot. Tbh I'm glad GS sold less, it's such a terrible song. Very generic and underwhelming considering some of the gold they released in the early noughties. I hate to say it but I think Amelle ruined the edginess of the group. :(

Songs like 'Shape', 'Stronger', 'Freak Like Me', 'Hole In the Head', 'Caught In A Moment' and 'Ugly' were actually brilliant - as were many others.

'Freedom' better not be a song that contains a lot of "ooh ooh ahh", "[insert American language here]" or "Freedom, Freedom, Freedom oh".

The performers for BGT are apparently:

Amanda Holden (A song from Shrek), Avril Lavigne, Chris Brown, Jessie J & Nicole Scherzinger.

Edit: After a long absence, The 'Sugababes' are finally making their long awaited comeback with a performance on BGT next week too!

What A Felling #21  Thought this was sure-fire top 10 at least, maybe it'll climb..hope so.

Busy #40, wonder if this could sneak in to top 40 officially, it'll probably start falling soon though..

CHRIS BROWN ON BGT? Wow, that would do wonders for his album and BP sales, maybe a bit of Yeah 3x too which is #29! BP has been in the top 10 forever it seems :w00t: still nowhere near getting old. Arguably his best song.

Jessie J.

So I take it the songs performed will be: 'Smile', 'Nobody's Perfect', 'Beautiful People' (maybe a medley), 'Freedom', 'Right There' and Amanda Holden's song.

If that's right, Avril will probably go top 40 officially if she's on early in the week, Nicole and Jessie should go top 10 officially without a doubt (maybe Nicole the week after this) and Chris has a chance of actually getting to #1 finally.

lol. I thought Chris Brown isn't allowed in the UK due to his criminal record?

Beautiful People would be amazing to see live though. Other places I've seen him perform it he's done it in a medley, but he does some crazy dancing in it!!! :o

I don't want him to perform Yeah 3x at all though. Just Beautiful People, or maybe medley into She Ain't You (a likely option for his next single) or Look At Me Now (finally get it top 40!).

CHRIS BROWN BETTER BE ON BRITAINS GOT TALENT!!!

Avril is a bit random, though. She's pretty much having her 'underperforming' era and there's no buzz around her at all.

The performers for BGT are apparently:

Amanda Holden (A song from Shrek)

I guess a lot of other artists were contacted but they turned down the offer if a judge is performing. Why couldn't Amanda perform last year? Or the year before that?

Anyways, not at all surprised - I genuinely think the standard of BGT this year has been well below par compared to last year. If the autistic 11 year old "ballet dancer" boy doesn't win then it further proves just how much of a disaster BGT 2011 has been. That young boy is the series saving grace.

Chris Brown is a faultless dancer, some of his moves are like :o crazzzzaay! Beautiful People would be such a good performance, and shoot it back to the top end of the itunes chart. :) How many weeks been in top 10 now? :o

Busy may be struggling to enter top 40, but at least its pushed Olly's album up to #40 on the album chart, may hit 600,000 sales after all, whats its total so far pretty near? That would be such an achievement for him, maybe its best he didnt win.

Right There also slightly helping Killer Love for Nicole back in at #38.

I Need A Dollar massively helping Aloe his album is up 12 to #14!

Lazy Song also doing great for Bruno's album at #4! His hasnt been out of top 10 since released has it?And Nobody's Perfect helping Jessie, up 2 to #6 :D Such a great debut, recommend it!

CKB up massive 16 places this week officially to #20, another massive jump for next Sunday too coming!

After 19 WEEKS Rolling in the Deep UP 8 :dancing: :dancing:

Yeah 3x back in top 40 at #34!

And big climbs for J-Lo (8 - #13) and Nicole (15 - #15)

Amanda Holden and the cast of Shrek the Musical on Tuesday

Avril Lavigne 'Smile' on Wednesday

Nicole Scherzinger on Friday

Jessie J and Sugababes still to be confirmed.

Unless they decide on two acts per semi-final, that's Monday - Friday sorted. Wonder who they'll have for the final then, perhaps rumours of Chris Brown will fall on the Saturday (they had Usher last year).

I really want to believe Chris will be on BGT! but I'm not getting my hopes up because he was said to be banned form here, have they finally given him entry?? I would love it to be true

TWO MEGASTARS performing on the final apparently. Same Source...

I'm guessing they're meaning Chris Brown & Nicole Scherzinger on Friday.

But Chris Brown IS NOT allowed in the Uk! So I dont get this! His tour was cancelled last year as he couldn't get a visa and many people still have tickets as it's not been cancelled it's been re-scheduled.... one year 2months later still no news.

Nicole's been reported for the final though.

I think Sugababes will perform on the Thursday, Chris Brown on Friday and Jessie J on Monday.
