Posted May 30, 201114 yr Ok, so the other thread's have become a bit of a mish mash of topics. So, here is a nice shiny new thread for discussing the new panel!!! Kelly Rowland said: “I am so excited to join The X Factor UK and be able to spend time in one of my favourite places in the world. The music coming out of the UK right now is incredible with artists like Adele, Jessie J and James Blake, so I’m confident this season of The X Factor will give me opportunity to hear a few diamonds in the rough. May 30, 201114 yr I personally cannot wait to see Gary and his monotone voice trying to break up a fight between Kelly and Tulip (as she will now be known). Equally the anticipation that Kelly might get Beyonce for Judges Houses and then we get stuck with Michelle. That'll be fun right? RIGHT? Knew we should have gotten Keisha. She'd enjoy crushing peoples dreams.

She'd be sitting there with her 5 foot nails and every time she was offended she could just scratch their eyes out as Keisha savagely destroyed their dreams. Now that would be entertainment.
May 30, 201114 yr Louis - Yawn. Gary - Talented but Boring. Kelly Rowland - Again talented, but too nicey nice and boring. Tulisa - not the most talented, but I think she will be the only entertaining one on the panel.
May 30, 201114 yr Currently the news page on the X Factor site reporting this has three times as many thumbs downs as it has thumbs ups...
May 30, 201114 yr Author Luke, I've moved your post to keep the Cheryl thread on topic of her firing and not the new panel.
May 30, 201114 yr Very much looking forward to seeing how this panel will work. I think Tulisa is more likely to fall out with Louis than anybody, Gary is far too mild-mannered to cause offence and get into arguments no doubt and Kelly's very much a female version of that personality wise from what I've seen. They are both very 'nice', but I think Tulisa will take Simon's 'honesty' role and I also think she'll be great at it seeing as Simon has very much 'lost it' over the past couple of years, praising tragic performances constantly. Louis I'm not bothered about one way or the other, but I think he needs to be there for familiarity reasons, that and the fact that another 'nice' person on the panel wouldn't work at all - two they can get away with. I remain certain that Louis and Tulisa will have the most falling outs. It's very interesting that whereas before three judges in their late 40s/50s when it first started, we now have a 20, 30, 40 and 60 year old judge near enough (I don't know their exact ages), all from completely different backgrounds, should be very interesting to watch.
May 30, 201114 yr I can deffo see Tulisa being the most interesting person on the panel. Louis is always the most irritating c**t on the planet, Gary is alright but he'll probs be a bit boring. I love Kelly too, but I can see her being too nice. Not the best panel in all honesty...

May 30, 201114 yr Gary Barlow = Singer of Take That who have sold millions of albums around the world. Had a relatively short lived solo career after Take That split up. Upon their eagerly awaited tour in 2005, Take That released new material in 2006 and were even more popular/successful than they were in their hayday. Robbie Williams' solo career at this time was taking a bashing (well, he had just released the abysmal 'Rudebox' album so what did he expect). I still suspect Robbie was jealous of Take That's new found fame and fortune and wanted to be a part of it - for Robbie, it wasn't about "wanting to a part of Take That" but more "wanting to be successful again". That's why Gary Barlow is a judge. He might be "boring" but he's an incredibly talented bore. Kelly Rowland = Sold millions of albums around the world as part of Destiny's Child. Has also scored a string of international hits in her career including 'Dilemma', 'When Love Takes Over', 'Commander' and now 'What A Feeling'. Kelly Rowland can also sing live. Cheryl Cole proved week in, week out on Popstars - The Rivals that she was very attractive. Good looks doesn't make you an excellent singer - unless Simon Cowell's opens his briefcase full of dollar notes (because he's like, soooo American these days - tomaydo, sidewalk, soccer). I also saw Dannii perform 'I Begin To Wonder' live on CD:UK - she should've mimed. :) Tulisa Contostavlos = I don't like N-Dubz but maybe it's an age thing. If I was half my age, I would probably a massive fan, have their album and bought all their singles on iTunes. They clearly are popular and appeal to a younger generation - it is worrying though that there are teenagers in the UK who aspire to be like Dappy (who I can't help but think is an arrogant prick behind the scenes). Tulisa may be the least well known judge but after seeing her presenting on 4Music a while back, she's not that bad. Louie Walsh = Loves attractive, well built young male singers so he can perv on them when they're naked in the dressing room. He's a disgrace to the music industry and is single handedly the worst thing to happen to the music industry. The day he retires, the music world will celebrate. Shouldn't be long now, he must be what...63? :kink: So yes, a judging panel where two of them actually have experience at an international level. One of them a European level and the other limited to just Ireland.
May 30, 201114 yr So happy for Tulisaint!!! :cheer: Happy for Kelly Rowland too. They'll be great to watch. lmao. Who's Gary Barlow? (Well, I know who he is really. But he does not interest me in the slightest tbh).

May 30, 201114 yr This new line up looks extremely boring TBH. I wonder why they kept Louis? I can see ratings absolutely plummeting except the first week. Edited May 30, 201114 yr by starryeyed
May 30, 201114 yr I would actually adapt to this new panel if that c**t Louis Walsh wasn't still on it? WHY HIM? Easily the worst out of the previous four. I still think it'll be very interesting to watch. MAYBE. Just maybe, the star will finally fade?
May 30, 201114 yr I think it's a very good panel. They've got Kelly who I love, I've been becoming more of a fan of Take That recently, and I really respect Gary Barlow. I'm a bit of a part-time fan of N'Dubz - when they do it right, they can be brilliant (see So Alive, Playing With Fire, We Dance On, Strong Again and even Best Behaviour) - and Tulisa is interesting anyway, and has always come across as the nicest member of N'Dubz, so I want to see what she can do. Louis will be fine. We need to have someone with some experience in managing, and for all his general uselessness on the show, he's very good at managing acts, and entertaining at the same time.
May 30, 201114 yr So this is set to go the same way as BGT has this year then.... right down the gutter.
May 30, 201114 yr Now they've done away with Cheryl & Simon (who American Idol didn't miss at all), I think I'll tune in more. I really like Louis (he's Irish, and he gave us Jedward), and I do like Kelly Rowland. Have this thing where I hate N-Dubz but kind of don't mind the singles (so basically, I don't like them as people), but Tulip (thanks Aled - brilliant) could stir things up and at least it isn't Dappy.
May 30, 201114 yr Author Tulip was Jark's ;) I'm willing to give the panel a go, they can't get much worse than Louis.
May 30, 201114 yr I reckon Louis & Tulisa will share an interesting "relationship". If there is anybody out there that will tell him how it REALLY is, she's the one to do it.
May 30, 201114 yr Oh was it? Sorry, I've not really read the other threads, I just saw Aled's reply in this thread
