Please do not compare Notorious to Biology! Biology is pop classic!

I think both are awesome. But do you see what I mean, neither song follows the normal verse/chorus/bridge structure that everything else in the chart does.

Biology was particularly strange. It was like 3 different songs muddled up together in a medley. Perhaps that's where will.i.am got his ideas from. :kink:

I love most of their songs. Infact I have all their albums, have seen them in concert twice and even met them all and got a kiss from Cheryl, thats how much of a fan I was. I personally haven't been mad on any of their solo stuff but I think they make great music together, so I am looking forward to it. I personally never got the overwhelming love for 'Biology' though. I think its a very good song but I wouldnt say it was anywhere near their best. For me their best songs are 'Sexy No No No', 'Call The Shots' and 'Sound Of The Underground'

Biology is like pop heaven, 2 minutes before a chorus is even heard now that takes skill and sheer guts in a pop song.

I see your point but ElectroBoy summed it up perfectly,

Biology is uber brilliant, catchy and great.

Notorius sounds cheap has no hook and is awful

There is no comperison to be made - Biology sh!ts over Notrius in a very big way.

I wouldn't say it's awful as I rather enjoy it, but still it is rather cheap.

For me the part of Biology that is absolutely awesome is like the "third song" in it. The one that plays in the middle and again at the end. So catchy! :o

Biology is a bit like One Day Like This by Elbow though, for me. You have to wait until halfway through the song before it gets really good.

True, but that's why I was comparing it to One Day Like This and will.i.am (e.g. Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling (although this is David Guetta)). Like the "chorus" starts halfway through the song. It's just weird. So much worth the wait though!

I seen the Tangled Up Tour! It was incredible! (BOLD - OMG lucky bitch!)

You know what, even though you don't share the same amount of love for Biology, by naming them songs you just named even more defining and incredible stuff they did. There is no end. They really will be remembered as Pop classic.

Biology for me is like one big tease. It teases you until the chorus and then it is just unleashed with Cheryl's hook "The way that we walk, the way that we talk, it's there in our thoughts" being under layered Nadine's voice, it really is incredible and divine.

I saw What Will The Neighbours Say and Tangled Up also. For me though, my all time favourite Girls Aloud song was never released, and that is Graffiti My Soul from WWTNS. Honestly, I just love it SO much. This conversation has made me listen to it, and the hook is just emmence

Oh yes! and apparently the producers wrote that song for Britney Spears as she wanted a Sound of the Underground part 2 and she wasn't impressed. Her lose, their gain! It's been left as a gem on their album, in fact all their albums have unreleased Gems.

Exactly Eric  Glad we agree.

I am glad Britney didn't get it though, it needs Nadines fabulous vocals on the hook and Cheryl's cheeky whispers in the background. Just goes to show how influential they have been if someone as big as BRITNEY SPEARS hears their song and wants a song like it :o

Yes, Girls Aloud made that track amazing! Yes exactly! to be honest "Sound of the Underground" is rather amazing so I can see her motivation :kink:

That is very true. I can see why she turned it down though, I don't really think it is similar to SOTU really, but it is even better for me.

Biology is INCREDIBLE! Deffo their best song, and that's from a amazing back catalogue!

Rachel Stevens () had some songs which were originally for Britney Spears too. And of course Lady Gaga wrote Telephone foro Britney originally too.

Although I imagine Britney must've been literally bombarded with songs to sing. Especially back in the day! :o

Rachel Stevens is AMAZING! Buzzjack idol who never was

Sweet Dreams my LAXative :magic:

She is like a guilty pleasure!

So true. She'd be so popular on here if she made a comeback imo. :D

Sweet Dreams My La Ex was a pop masterpiece. If that song was sung by an artist seen to be more 'credible', then people would be saying it was one of their best songs, its that good.

Umbrella was written for Britney too, as her massive comeback but she didn't think it was catchy enough or had the potential to be the big hit she was looking for. I would have loved to have seen her face when Umbrella was released worldwide !

Gosh. Fail for Britney there. I was watching a Rihanna interview the other day actually, and she said she got given the song at some point, but then other artists started hearing it and apparently there was a bit of competition to get the song. I'm glad Rihanna got it. It's been the most important song of her career I think (apart from Pon de Replay, I guess

Another one was Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz was originally given to Cheryl I think, but her record label didn't reply for ages, and apparently by then Taio had assumed they didn't want the song so he recorded it himself and had already sent it to radio by the time Cheryl's people responded to him! :o That must've been annoying for her, especially when it got to #1 in the US! :o
