Posted June 2, 201114 yr These two females had many fans and critics wondering who would be more successful, and which one would have better music. Gaga may win hands down in terms of sales, but what are your opinion on both albums, in terms of the music (the lyrics, the production quality, the beats) http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_llqcmnQ3HY1qhhdajo1_500.jpg In my opinion, they are both amazing dance records, although Femme Fatale is a little more on the pop side, while Born This Way is more on the house-techno side. But I have to say that I think Born This Way is the better record. Every single track on the album excited me and is amazing. This is by far, 20x better than The Fame Monster and the Fame. Whereas, although Femme Fatale is a great record, she has failed to top In The Zone and Blackout with Circus or Femme Fatale. Your opinions? Edited June 2, 201114 yr by H.J
June 2, 201114 yr Born This Way is miles better. Femme Fatale has some great songs but is really inconsistent, it has its fair share of awful songs too (How I Roll, Big Fat Bass & Drop Dead Beautiful) whereas there is not a single bad track on Born This Way.
June 2, 201114 yr Femme Fatale. Not only are the singles better (Hold It Against Me > Born This Way, Til The World Ends > Judas) but as a whole the album is pretty good whereas BTW is let down by the dire singles and tracks like Hair, Scheibe and Government Hooker.
*Scheiße Oh and it's the best thing on the album. Madness.
June 2, 201114 yr 'Born This Way' by far. Out of 17 tracks, there are only a couple I'm still not keen on. 'Femme Fatale' has some great songs, but it's greatest aren't as good as the likes of Scheiße, Born This Way, Hair & The Edge Of Glory. On FF, 'How I Roll' is vile, and I dislike 'Big Fat Bass', plus some of the others are perhaps good but nowhere near WOW.
June 2, 201114 yr I think Femme Fatale is better than Born This Way. Femme Fatale is consistently good all the way through, but Born This Way has a few bad points in Government Hooker, Heavy Metal Lover and a couple of others - in my opinion. That said, Femme Fatale and BTW are both better than Circus and The Fame - so good job to both :) But Britney all the way for me on this one :)
June 2, 201114 yr BTW by MIIILLEES! Femme Fatale is still like 6th in my fave album thus far in 2011, but BTW is first by miles! My least fave track, You & I, would still get a solid 9/10! Most of the album get a perfect 10 though. FF does have brilliant tracks (Inside Out - one of my fave Brit tracks -, I Wanna Go, Til The World Ends and others), but there are a couple of awful ones I'd give like 4/10 at a push (namely Gasoline and How I Roll).
June 2, 201114 yr I really don't think they are two albums that can be compared. The only similarities are that they are pop, but besides that they are completely different in mostly every way. With that being said they are both superb albums. 'Femme Fatale' is my favorite Britney album ever after 'Blackout'... and while not as good as the amazing 'Fame Monster", 'Born This Way' makes up for it with some over the top amazing tracks like 'Scheiße', 'Government Hooker', 'Americano'. If this were the 'Circus' album I would have to give it to Gaga, but Britney really brought out a good album this time around... even if the promo has been less then lukewarm.
June 2, 201114 yr *Scheiße Oh and it's the best thing on the album. Madness. It's not. It's Gaga trying (again) to be quirky and controversial by using a German swear word as the title of a song. The song itself is dreadful. Madness? No, it's an opinion.
June 2, 201114 yr Born This Way by far. Ok but i'm a Gaga loon and ex-Britney loon so I think my opinion doesn't count but whatever. Born This Way has really enjoyable songs where I can repeat all day and only a few are considered "album fillers" for me. Femme Fatale is FULL of album fillers for me. Only tracks I enjoy are Hold It Against Me, Till The World Ends, Gasoline, I Wanna Go. Where the heck are her Gimme More type of songs? I want more of that because I love them type of provocative songs (hence it explains why it was played on my iTunes over 2,800 times...)
June 2, 201114 yr Born this way is better. Lady GaGa wrote all the songs on her album and its great. Britney doesnt write $h!t. Marry the Night, Edge Of glory, Hair $h!ts all over Femme fatale
June 2, 201114 yr Not that they should really be compared but Born This Way is obviously filled with a lot more quality. Femme Fatale has four good songs. Though the Nicki Minaj/Kesha remix of Till the World Ends is the best thing of the two albums combined. Mainly just because of Nicki though.
June 2, 201114 yr Born this way is better. Lady GaGa wrote all the songs on her album and its great. Britney doesnt write $h!t. Marry the Night, Edge Of glory, Hair $h!ts all over Femme fatale She wrote Scary (a Japanese/fan edition bonus track) and she's also written some tracks for Selena Gomez's new album apparently. I'm sure she's written more too. But yeah, BTW is better :P
June 2, 201114 yr Which four songs on Femme Fatale do you approve of? Till the World Ends / I Wanna Go / Trouble for Me / Drop Dead are good pop songs, I just can't really get into the rest.
June 2, 201114 yr I would've thought you would love How I Roll Ben! I mean for one it is her best song in at least four years, potentially eight, and for two (can you say that?) it has a sort of indie-pop appeal. It's definitely the one that people who aren't that into mainstream pop always seem to single out as the highlight, probably because it's batshit insane and surrenders any kind of structure in favour of lyrics like 'you can be my fuck tonight' which ironically is probably the closest Britney has come to saying anything remotely personal on record in about... ever?!
June 2, 201114 yr I'm actually giving it a relisten and I like it a lot, so make that 5, though it's nothing FANTASTIC. But it is a little leftfield which is really nice. Not sure how I missed it, actually ~ Blackout will always be her greatest album, that album just takes no prisoners. It's so unabashedly pop and dirty.
