June 3, 201114 yr 01 Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 02 I Am The Walrus 03 Tomorrow Never Knows Can't decide on a top one.
June 4, 201114 yr A Day In The Life, great song, great production - even a contemporary video on youtube!!
November 12, 20159 yr resurrecting this in light of their phenomenal compilation album, 1's recent re-release. for me it has to be between: 1. hey jude 2. let it be 3. penny lane all three are fantastic
November 12, 20159 yr Omg YES at other people going with 'Tomorrow Never Knows' as well! That has always been my favourite, such a mind blowing and ahead of its time coda to 'Revolver'. ('Here Comes The Sun' would follow closely behind, my fave band though - so many excellent moments.) November 12, 20159 yr Tomorrow Never Knows  Without which there would have been no Setting Sun (Chemical Brothers/Noel Gallagher) I frequently hear people slag off the Fabs, often the sort of people who hate anything that gets hyped, as if being massively popular is in some way proof of being mass appeal + dumb and over-rated. Still the most important band ever, most influential band ever, most innovative band ever, most successful band ever :P In the world! British!!!
November 15, 20159 yr Where do I start with my favourite tracks! Best album is Revolver - an absolute joy from start to finish. Top tracks: I started off maybe doing a Top 10! 1. Eleanor Rigby - Beautiful beatiful song. I tend to go for Lennon's and Harrison's songs over Macca's but this is amazing. 2. Strawberry Fields Forever 3. Rain 4. I Am The Walrus 5. Helter Skelter 6. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away 7. Tomorrow Never Knows 8. Nowhere Man 9. She Said, She Said 10. Hey Bulldog 11. Because 12. Help! 13. A Day in the Life 14. Day Tripper 15. Do You Want to Know a Secret? 16. I Feel Fine 17. Only a Northern Song 18. Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite 19. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds 20. Come Together 21. Within You, Without You 22. Across The Universe 23. I'm Only Sleeping 24. I Want You (She's So Heavy) 25. It's All Too Much 26. The Ballad of John and Yoko 27. Get Back 28. Hey Jude 29. Lady Madonna 30. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
November 15, 20159 yr I used to love Hey Jude but Macca doing it live everywhere more recently has really put me off it a lot.
November 15, 20159 yr Is anyone interested in some kind of Beatles rate. Don't think we've ever done one.
November 15, 20159 yr for some reason i've never really seen the appeal of eleanor rigby, after hearing the original, unreleased version of the song on the nation's favourite the beatles' number one earlier this week, i think i would have preferred that version much more. anyway i think you can put love me do and day tripper in my top three now in replace of hey jude and penny lane.
November 15, 20159 yr Tried to whittle a top 10 together, though it changes frequently: 1. Tomorrow Never Knows 2. Here Comes The Sun 3. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away 4. Strawberry Fields Forever 5. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) 6. Eleanor Rigby 7. I Am The Walrus 8. Across The Universe 9. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 10. Rain Incredible.
November 15, 20159 yr Is anyone interested in some kind of Beatles rate. Don't think we've ever done one. I would be keen, been considering doing a Quickie rate for some time myself (as I did with Abba, top 5 fave tracks only in order), though wasnt sure enough people liked 5 tracks on BJ! :o I'd do a comprehensive rate but there would be rather a lot of 10's from me! Re Hey Jude (and Let It Be) OD on TV in recent years, I try and block those performances from my mind and remember instead when they were new and fresh and moving. :o

November 15, 20159 yr I haven't heard all of their discography but some of my personal faves: Come Together I Feel Fine She Loves You Paperback Writer Yesterday

It seems a bit rubbish to do a singles rate when so many well known tracks weren't released on 45.
November 16, 20159 yr Good to see love for Rain and Hey Bulldog - two of my favourites. I'd put the majority of Magical Mystery Tour ahead of most other Beatles tunes.
