What will happen is there will be 11 rounds, round 1 being 2000, then 2001 etc. up to round 10 which will be 2009. Round 11 will be 2010 and 2011 combined as there are not enough songs from 2011 to have its own round. The top 4 from each round will go straight to the final, and 5th to 7th placed will go in a "wildcard" round. But, to spice things up we will not go in order of the years. Now you know why this isn't round one (I haven't missed it out, but will go back to it later) The top ten songs from the "wildcard" round will be put into the final round to make a top 54 of the decade. You will vote from 54, but four unlucky songs will miss out on making the top 50 in the results thread. After the final the next rate will be xxxxxxxxxx (edit - this will be the last game in the series) How you rate the songs; exactly the same as last time, you do not rate every song that hit number two, you just rate your ten favourites and your least favourite. You give +15 points to your favourite song, and the rest are as follows; This is to hopefully stop ties from happening inside the top 3. +15 Favourite Song +12 2nd Favourite Song +10 3rd Favourite Song +08 4th Favourite +06 5th Favourite +05 6th Favourite +04 7th Favourite +03 8th Favourite +02 9th Favourite +01 10th Favourite -02 Least Favourite, or Most Hated depending on what way you look at it These are the songs you need to rate from. You have 2 days for every round to rate. This means the deadline is Monday morning and hopefully the next round will be up by then. Ultimate 00s Number Twos Rate 2006 – Round 7 1. Hopefully it will work well :)
June 4, 201114 yr Number two's is very apt here.... 15. Bodyrox feat Luciana – Yeah Yeah 12. Rihanna – S.O.S 10. Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Dani California 8. June 4, 201114 yr The year Europop returned to its spiritual home of #2, where all of the best of its kind peak! The Embrace song was their career highlight too imo, beautiful song. My top six here are all amazing - 2006  +15 Cascada – Everytime We Touch +12 Infernal – From Paris to Berlin +10 Embrace – Nature’s Law +8 Corinne Bailey Rae – Put Your Records On +6 Rihanna – Unfaithful +5 Bodyrox feat Luciana – Yeah Yeah +4 Christina Aguilera – Ain’t No Other Man +3 The Killers – When You Were Young +2 Shayne Ward – No Promises +1 Booty Luv – Boogie 2nite -2 Chamillionaire feat Krayzie Bone – Ridin’ An abomination. I'll give Cliff a reprieve because the fact that firstly he could still get a #2 hit as recent as 2006 was hilarious, and secondly because it featured these lyrics which were a highlight of my life for a short while; 'The satellite's trackin' Santa We text our Christmas list And leave our mobile numbers To help out ole' Saint Nick.' :D

June 4, 201114 yr The Embrace song was their career highlight too imo, beautiful song. Forget to vote for that, such a good song! :(
June 4, 201114 yr Argh, 2006! I was mentally prepared to vote in 2000 already  Instead of a glorious year where I like almost every #2 we get THIS. Ah well! Anyway, in all seriousness, considering how much I've said openly on this forum that this year was crap for chart music, this list of #2s isn't as bad as it could have been. Still not good though when I have to give points to songs I flat out don't like!! The top 7 are okay, but it's a massive drop-off after +3. +15 Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On +12 Chamillionaire featuring Krayzie Bone - Ridin' +10 The Killers - When You Were Young +8 Justin Timberlake featuring Timbaland - My Love +6 Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man +5 Embrace - Nature's Law +4 Infernal - From Paris To Berlin +3 Bodyrox featuring Luciana - Yeah Yeah +2 Chris Brown featuring Juelz Santana - Run It! +1 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California -2 Rihanna - Unfaithful Horrible song, but of course it will get 1st 'cos this forum is full of Rihanna loons! Edited June 4, 201114 yr by superbossanova
June 4, 201114 yr -2 Rihanna - Unfaithful Horrible song, but of course it will get 1st 'cos this forum is full of Rihanna loons! It was the first song of hers that I liked! I doubt the loons would be queuing up to vote for something like If It's Lovin' That You Want if that had made it to #2!
June 4, 201114 yr Forget to vote for that, such a good song! :( Edit your votes! It needs to get a wildcard at least but I can't see it somehow, it's not the most Buzzjack friendly song. I'm quite disappointed that of the rousing indie-rock ballad anthems out in 2006, Chasing Cars went on to become one of the biggest songs of all time, whilst this has been unfairly left behind and all but forgotten :(

It would come top 5 at least and you know it! Anyway, I'm personally of the opinion that If It's Lovin' That You Want is her best pre-Umbrella single these days, even though I paid no attention to it at the time. It has a charm that the others sorely lack. Di di di di da da dey  Edited June 4, 201114 yr by superbossanova
June 4, 201114 yr +15 The Killers - When You Were Young The Killers are just an outstanding band, I've absolutely loved every song they've put out. WYWY is actually among their less good singles but still massively outshines everything else on this list. I still hope they can one day get a #1 but Human was probably their last chance gone :( +12 Chris Brown feat. Juelz Santana - Run It! Okay, the rest of the list is not very good at all to be honest +10 U2 and Green Day - The Saints Are Coming +8 Rihanna - SOS +6 Booty Luv - Boogie 2nite  I should hate this but I do have memories of enjoying this a lot when it came on in the car +5 Chamillionaire feat. Krayzie Bone - Ridin' +4 Bodyrox feat. Luciana - Yeah Yeah +3 The Pussycat Dolls feat. will.i.am - Beep +2 Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. - My Love +1 Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man -2 Cascada - Everytime We Touch I was going to give -2 to Corinne, but at the end of the day Crapcada probably deserve it more :puke: Edited June 4, 201114 yr by Bray
June 4, 201114 yr -2 Chamillionaire feat Krayzie Bone – Ridin’ An abomination. I'll give Cliff a reprieve because the fact that firstly he could still get a #2 hit as recent as 2006 was hilarious, and secondly because it featured these lyrics which were a highlight of my life for a short while; Don't forget he also had a #3 hit in 2008. But then his 2009 single only got to #40. :drama:
June 4, 201114 yr Don't forget he also had a #3 hit in 2008. But then his 2009 single only got to #40. :drama: Indeed, it was pretty much the last hurrah for non-X Factor related physicals wasn't it  His singles chart days must surely be long behind him now, I can't see many of his fans as big downloaders...
June 4, 201114 yr It would come top 5 at least and you know it! Anyway, I'm personally of the opinion that If It's Lovin' That You Want is her best pre-Umbrella single these days, even though I paid no attention to it at the time. It has a charm that the others sorely lack. Di di di di da da dey  I'd like to hope that BJ can be discerning with their Rihanna looning, I remain confident that it wouldn't! I thought it was awful, a really cheap sounding 'flop' song and I thought it would definitely signal the end of her career and leave her as a one hit wonder like Lumidee two years before her. #11 was a bit higher than I expected for it though. And then of course SOS happened and it was up all the way from there...
