June 9, 201114 yr Actually, the last classic hit to go top 40 was on 06/06/2009, when 'Paladio' by Escala reached number 39 in the chart. It's good to see some more classical music in the chart though. Does that count as classical? Mind, I'm not sure what else I'd class it as, but I wouldn't call it classical to be honest. June 9, 201114 yr Monday releases really suffer. I'm not surprised at all that it's missing the top 10. Blah Blah Blah was released on a Monday and got to #3 on iTunes and missed the top 10 officially.

Blah Blah Blah was released on a Monday and got to #3 on iTunes and missed the top 10 officially. I have never understood Monday releases either. Sunday sales equate to around 20-25% of the full week tally so missing out on that results in a weekly peak position vastly lower than it would have been had it been released a day earlier. Why record companies do it baffles me. I still remember when Leona's forgive me was released on a Monday, I couldn't work out why then, and I still can't.

June 10, 201114 yr Tbh if the demand is there, the release date doesn't matter. Example would be number one even if it was released on Wednesday. That said, everybody should at least consider releasing the songs (and albums too) digitally on Sunday. Edited June 10, 201114 yr by SKOB
