Why wouldn't Alexandra want to leave?

Syco don't exactly seem to care about acts after they've been around for 2/3 years and once they flop they get dropped. They kept Shayne Ward from 2007 up until 2010 without releasing any material, but because he bombed with a pointless Nickelback cover last year, Syco see it as "he's no longer relevant" which probably was true to an extent. If Shayne had been given a better lead single to mark his return then that might've helped.

Shayne shouldn't have bothered. He'd still have a record deal by default right now.

Does something about his voice suggest something 'non ginger' as if we have different voices to everybody else? It's only a hair colour, we're not a different race/foreign species!

Me saying 'I have nothing against them' in reference to brown haired people would sound ludicrous! We're not all one and the same!

I know you didn't mean any harm by your post but I've encountered this casting out every day of my life, it's just a 'norm' in British society sadly :(

WOO GINGER PRIDE etc. :D

I think I saw Shayne Ward featured on a new song on the release schedule, so he could be back in the top 1000 on iTunes soon!

I still remember when he won actually! :o My favourite that year was Brenda.

I think it's a smart move from her and i really hope it works out for her. :cheer:

Ludovico is back up to #25. Dunno if this is just because of it charting or if Greg is still playing it on a daily basis.

Shayne should have had the sense to leave Syco 2 years ago.I am not sure what he has spent the past three years doing.I am sure he would have got a new label to sign him but I hope he releases something.

Syco are only good for one album they are not able to sustain longevity or any type of long term planning.

Why has Bounce stalled it has to go No 1

Calvin up another 0.01 on Example  to 0.89 - looks like he's definitely not going to get there now :(

Pitbull  another 0.01 to 0.76. Tinchy is at 0.72 so he may still overtake Pitbull. Ed is at 0.66 with a second version on 0.03 (and of course his EP is still #3 on iTunes Albums so all things considered he's probably #3 combined)

:o :o Why did she leave?

It was a mutual decision apparently.

Her brother has been publicly criticising Syco and its involvement in Alex's career for ages now and even Alex has mentioned its inefficiencies over twitter (obviously in a subtle manner).

I think Syco are spending more time with the new acts (Matt, Cher, Rebecca, 1D) and have finally realised that their small, incompetent team can't look after a few artists let alone a dozen.

Leona just needs to move now. Preferably to somewhere that let's her be creative yet are great at promoting her.

I think it may be the case that Simon thinks Cher and 1D will be massive (Rebecca is with Epic).I can see it blowing up in his face when they actually have to sing live with no big productions and backing singers not carrying the load.It is going to be an interesting few months at Syco.Leona will not release an album until October and a single just before I think. She needs to take more control of her future if she wants longevity.

Cher and 1 Direction are good at singing live though. Certainly better than some of the artists in the chart atm anyway.

Yes, I know girls like 1D, but that doesn't mean they can't sing.

Speaking of which, I'd be shocked if "Light Up The World" doesn't go at least top 40 this week. Season finale, last episode on Freeview TV will get good ratings and it's a really good song. "Loser Like Me" underperformed, IMO.

I don't think that Simon handles his acts well now tbh. If I was a contestant on the X Factor and had a deal with Syco or a different yet still famous label, I'd take that won. I just feel they do a better job with them.

Sure, Leona had a No.1 in USA, but her second album hasn't done great. There's also a very long list on the dropped/left. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syco

If he hadn't signed Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle and 1D he'd only have 7 out of the 21 (18 excluding the ones i have just listed) he's signed.

SFTTR great start to airplay. :) Hopefully builds this week and we'll see it significantly climb on iTunes this week, then a radio is NEEDED this month at the least!

#32 at the moment.

Well, if it's a 48 hour chart they probably start dropping at mid-night on Tuesday.
