SYTYCD doesn't really have much effect on the chart.

Although since it's the final tonight, maybe OTF could get a sales boost. She could do a medley. Although I think they want her to perform a huge hit or at least a song the dancers can dance to.

This week could be the most predictable top 10 in the Official charts in Ages!
I like Britney's songs too. Especially Till the World Ends. Pop at its best imo. I'd never ever want to dispose of it. But I can imagine for people who don't like her songs it must've been unbearable during those years when she was really popular.

The thing with Britney is, she's not *just* attractive, she also has a nice personality, which is why people were far more likely to rally around here during her troubles, than they would for, say, Amy Winehouse.

True. I think people really connected to her as a person. She's been through so much. It's really shocking. I'd never be able to cope with what she's had to do. For that alone, I quite admire her now (obviously, the great songs, good looks, nice personality and nostalgia don't hurt either! :D).

Does anyone think Calvin Harris & Kelis could get number one next week. It's currently at #2 in Ireland ?

I think top 3 myself, I haven't heard it a lot although it wouldn't be that surprising if it got to number 1

How so...? We don't know where Coldplay or Dev will end up at least. There have been plenty of weeks far more predictable than this

 10. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall - Coldplay

:( I hope this gets kicked out by Calvin and not BEP.

Calvin being #2 in Ireland is very, very promising. Would be a brilliant #1 :D

Is Kelis really yet to have a UK #1 single? :o

Yep :o She's had two number 2s (Milkshake and Trick Me) but never a chart topper. Lil' Star got to number 3 as well iirc. I actually Acapella could have made it to number 1 without the rush release though.

I'm really surprised that "Milkshake" never got to #1, as it was massive when it was first out.

I still have Milkshake on CD single

Kelis

I swear there are always discussions about Kelis in here (not that that's a bad thing of course)!

I agree. It's one of those songs you assume had got to #1 because it was so big. I think people might be like that if they ever one day find out Rolling in the Deep never got there.

I hope Calvin Harris gets #1, because if he doesn't, Pitbull will be #1 again.

I love Pitbull's song but I also really want Calvin to be number one as his song's amazing too  So much good stuff out right now!

Yeah I actually believed it was a #1 single before I got into the charts in 2006. That goes for many other '#1s that never were' such as; 'I Don't Want to Miss A Thing', 'Get This Party Started', 'Murder on the Dancefloor' and 'Torn'.

Example isn't losing his lead *that* quickly. Pitbull is only barely 75% of Example and he'll likely fall back again after the weekend. I'm pretty certain Example will get a second week unless Calvin gets there.

I'm exactly the same. I do think the charts, in general, represent what I felt was popular at the time, but occasionally I find something which charted a LOT lower than I thought it would've done. Or a #1 which I swear I never heard! Quite strange really.

J.Lo on SYTYCD :D 10pm

Naked? :o
