You'll be surprised to hear as of Eric Blob's votes there is a grand total of ZERO females in the top 6 (Mariah ruining it at number 7), even BJ favourite Rihanna is nowhere to be seen in the wildcards, let alone the final. The BJ stereotype has been broken this round :P

I love Rihanna. But I'm not going to pretend every single song she releases is better than every other song in existance. And when I do go on about how a Rihanna song is amazing (e.g. Unfaithful, Live Your Life, What's My Name?, etc.), it's because I genuinely do think they're superb!! I think a lot of people here are the same. :D

Rihanna will probably feature a lot in this competition, actually.

She's got 6 entries in this rate! It would be seven if S&M made at least a week at number 2  I think all these will get through to the finals or wildcards except PDR and RR (we already know 'Unfaithful' and 'SOS' have made it through)

2005 Rihanna 'Pon De Replay'

2006 Rihanna 'Unfaithful'

2006 Rihanna 'SOS'

2008 T.I. feat. Rihanna 'Live Your Life'

2009 Rihanna 'Russian Roulette'

2010 Rihanna 'Rude Boy'

2010 Eminem feat. Rihanna 'Love The Way You Lie'

Edit - forgot about 'Love The Way You Lie' probably the most obvious Rihanna number 2 as it was YE number one last year

Edit - taking a look at the 2009's number 2s, Rihanna has a big chance in that actually. I predict these seven to go through

1. James Morrison & Nelly Furtardo – Broken Strings

2. Kid Cudi vs Crookers – Day N Nite

3. Taylor Swift – Love Story

4. The Saturdays – Just Can’t Get Enough

5. Noisettes – Don’t Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)

6. La Roux – In For the Kill

7. Michael Jackson – Man In The Mirror

8. Mr Hudson feat Kanye West – Supernova

9. Sugababes – Get Sexy

10. Jay-Z feat Alicia Keys – Empire State of Mind

11. The Saturdays – Forever Is Over

12. Robbie Williams – Bodies

13. Westlife – What About Now

14. Leona Lewis – Happy

15. Rihanna – Russian Roulette

7 - you missed out Love The Way You Lie.

I don't think Love Story and In For the Kill are very popular on here (unfortunately for the latter). I can see Bodies and Happy going through instead of them.

Bodies? That's a contender for last place IMO

I think these 7 are likely to go through for 2009:

1. James Morrison & Nelly Furtardo – Broken Strings

2. Kid Cudi vs Crookers – Day N Nite

3. Taylor Swift – Love Story

4. The Saturdays – Just Can’t Get Enough

5. Noisettes – Don’t Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)

11. The Saturdays – Forever Is Over

12. Robbie Williams – Bodies

13. Westlife – What About Now

14. Leona Lewis – Happy

15. Rihanna – Russian Roulette (unfortunately)

Not certain about Get Sexy, Happy or Forever Is Over may get it over that. I really, really want Day 'N' Nite to get through but it almost certainly won't. Ideally though it wouldn't even have the chance to get through here as it should have been a #1 IMO

EDIT: Just realised my 7 picks are the same as Daniel's but with Sugas instead of Taylor.

this game hasn't been that 'generic Buzzjack' as I thought, Britney finished in the bottom 4 of 2002 :o so Sugas and Saturdays could miss out

that list is shockingly awful though :o I only like a few, and none I really love

Is Bodies unpopular on here? It seems like the sort of song Buzzjack would like. Although it might be a bit too upbeat I guess.

I don't think Get Sexy will do well. Buzzjack hates those sorts of songs.

If there was any justice, then Supernova, In For The Kill, Empire State of Mind and Man in The Mirror would be SAILING through from that list. They are several steps above the rest (and all are excellent), which range from average to embarrassingly awful.

And I don't think you can judge popularity of songs from that Dannyboy game. In For The Kill went early in that just because Elly Jackson's voice is very love/hate. It'll get a lot of love, guaranteed. High points from me for sure.

Actually Broken Strings will probably do well.

I think What About Now or Just Can't Get Enough could come last.

I think In For The Kill, Man In The Mirror, Empire State of Mind and Russian Roulette will be the top 4, the other three I'm unsure about, Noisettes, James Morrison and Robbie probably

I don't recall it being popular at the time. A lot of people said You Know Me was a vast improvement (I personally loved Bodies though so I'd be glad to be proven wrong and see it go through after all :P)

Broken Strings is absolutely horrendous, turgid tedium. Will not be pleased if it goes through. From the list I also hate Love Story, Get Sexy and Russian Roulette. What About Now is SURPRISINGLY BEARABLE by Westlife standards.

My personal favourite 7 of the list are Day 'N' Nite, Supernova, Don't Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go), Empire State Of Mind, In For The Kill, Man In The Mirror and Bodies so that'd be my ideal list of qualifiers. But a couple of those don't have a snowball's chance in hell.

+15 'Bad day' Daniel Powter

+12 'Speed of sound' Coldplay (that damn frog)

+10 'Only U' Ashanti

+08 'Are you lonesome tonight' Elvis Presley

+06 'Somewhere else' Razorlight

+05 'Pon de replay' Rihanna

+04 'We be burnin' ' Sean Paul

+03 'Let me love you' Mario

+02 'Feel good inc.' Gorillaz

+01 'Devil in disguise' Elvis Presley

-02 Westlife feat Diana Ross – When You Tell Me That You Love Me

I don't mind 'What About Now' but I'd never listen to it out of choice, and it's still 'bad'. My favourite Westlife song would be 'You Raise Me Up', I'm glad it isn't in this rate, because I don't want to have to see it get lots of -2s :drama:

I think 2009 is a certainty for next round after all this

What About Now will come last blatantly :P of course The Saturdays' cover is hardly better, but its Westlife- so that automatically means -2's flying out

15|Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc.

12|Kanye West feat Jamie Foxx – Gold Digger

10|Robbie Williams – Tripping

08|Coldplay – Speed of Sound

06|Razorlight – Somewhere Else

$h!te year.

I'm gonna have to boycott this year - I simply cannot give points to any of these! Only Snoop Dog/JT and Kanye West get a look-in! But then that means giving points to another 10...

On the plus side, great set of qualifiers from 2000 (aside from Blink 182...)
