Posted June 10, 201114 yr http://images.thekoalition.com/2010/06/drake2.jpg Drake's 2nd album has been given a 24th October release date. The rapper and singer revealed via his official blog that the follow-up to his 2009 debut Thank Me Now will hit US stores on October 24. The post was also accompanied by the release of another track from the record entitled 'Marvin's Room' which is due for official release in July. The song is the second to be leaked from Take Care, following last month's premiere of 'Dreams Money Can Buy'. Drake previously claimed that he was using Memorial Day weekend as "research" for the album. "I got this album coming. It's called Take Care, so I just really want to get out here and check the climate. I wanna hear the records, see how everybody's moving, see what everybody's lovin', because I know I got a great body of work," he told MTV News at the time. Drake recently dismissed claims that he would consider leaving Lil Wayne's Young Money label, insisting that he wants to stay with the company forever. 'Dreams Money Can Buy' heavily samples Jai Paul's 'BTSTU' and is gooood. Although I liked his first album I felt like it was missing something...I don't know quite what but it just didn't have the WOW factor like I thought it would. Hoping this album will be a step up! He's apparently been working with The Weeknd on it which makes me v. excited. Edited June 11, 201114 yr by Cremey
June 10, 201114 yr I must give this Jai Paul sampling song a listen. Sounds brilliant. Not at all related to his new album but I heard his remix of SBTRKT's Wildfire (well, not really a remix, he just raps on it) the other day. Is very good.
June 11, 201114 yr Author Just got around to listening to 'Marvin's Room'. WOW. Basically exactly what I was hoping this album would be like.
June 11, 201114 yr Cannot wait for this album! The first one was so good so I've got high expectations for this one especially with the rumours he's working with people like Florence, Beyonce, Justin Timblerlake and Kanye. The Florence collab would be amazing. Love the instrumental to The Ride
June 12, 201114 yr Author What's "Marvin's Room"? The second song to be leaked from the album (by Drake himself). Apparently neither of the tracks we've heard so far will be singles, but both are on 'Take Care'. Literally ADDICTED to it at the moment. So good. Cannot wait for this album! The first one was so good so I've got high expectations for this one especially with the rumours he's working with people like Florence, Beyonce, Justin Timblerlake and Kanye. The Florence collab would be amazing. Yeah the collaborations look amazing!
June 24, 201114 yr JoJo has done a version of Marvin's Room as well: JUDbSL-5GHQ  Really wish this was the single, it's seriously his best along with Fireworks and Up All Night for me!
June 25, 201114 yr I've been listening to JoJo's version of the song more than Drake's.. I've now even forgotten what his sounds like
July 4, 201114 yr Marvin's Room is my personal chart #1. :P So good. It reminds me of Shut It Down and Karaoke from Thank Me Later. 40 never disappoints with the beat.

July 11, 201114 yr I've been listening to JoJo's version of the song more than Drake's.. I've now even forgotten what his sounds like  Me too, it sounds like the song was meant for her, even though it's Drake's song. JoJo's version is amazing!
July 11, 201114 yr No one's posted this yet? jxEyR_gZKNA Slightly disappointed with this. Although it's not on the album. Just thought I'd post it since it's a new Drake song~ Edited July 11, 201114 yr by Bré
July 11, 201114 yr Author 'Marvin's Room' video: And I love 'Trust Issues'! Love his tracks produced by Noah “40″ Shebib, they always work so well together. I prefer 'Marvin's Room', but much prefer 'Trust Issues' to 'Dreams Money Can Buy'!
July 24, 201114 yr Author Drake's new album, Take Care, is currently set for an October 24 release date. The blockbuster rapper's been hitting the Internet with new songs for the last month or so, but MTV reports that Take Care's first official single isn't one we've heard yet. The song's called "Headlines" (a title that was hinted at by Drake himself on Twitter earlier this week), and it features production by frequent Drake collaborators Matthew "Boi-1da" Samuels and Noah "40" Shebib. Rolling Stone has more info on Take Care, too: tentative song titles include "Shot for Me", "Free Spirit", and "The Real Her", the latter two featuring guest spots from Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, respectively. The article reports that Drake's still hoping to collaborate with the Weeknd's Abel Tesfaye, Jamie XX, DJ Premier, and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. It also mentions that Drake shouts out super-chef Thomas Keller's hot-to-trot French Laundry restaurant in California. (Relatedly: I hear Keller's red beet ice cream recipe is not to be f***ed with.) Oh yeah, and Drake also tells Rolling Stone, "I hate singles. With this album, I want to tell a whole story. I don't want people to just hear a piece and judge the album on that."
July 31, 201113 yr First single 'Headlines': 3tZiYNMwbd4 Good track, though I prefer Marvin's Room and Dreams Money Can Buy.
