Yeah. Quite incredible that everyone is starting to use that set since Higher!
You do realise that set is one of the most recognisable and famous sets in Hollywood, don't you? It's used in shows such as 'How I Met Your Mother' & 'Bones' as well as various films and the like. :heehee:

lol. Does it really matter who "copies" who anyway? It suddenly seems like in the past couple of years it's become a really big deal. Before artists used to do similar things in music videos too, but nobody ever made a big deal about it (except in the really extreme cases, obviously).

Its because there is more of a spotlight on unique-ness and individuality (Which is a positive thing in my books). ^_^

Ermm is Cher Llyod's lead single called Swagger Jagger?

You still need to tell me what happens in the season finale :P

No, I hate it to be honest. I just want good songs, but now it seems to be all about good music videos. So now you can make a song that sounds the same as everything else, but if it has a good music video, the song sells bucket-loads and the so-called "artist" gets congratulated for it.

About Cher Lloyd, yes it is called that. It's getting its radio premiere tommorrow I think. Scott Mills likes the song too! :D Although he also likes that remix of Price Tag, so make of that what you will. :coffee: He has FANTASTIC taste in music though, imo.

then why is it your signature?

Haaa!! Yeah, see I hate the video but love the song. I mean, it's about her grandfather - if she went with the fisky theme people would've said 'Her granfather was a dolphin?'

Its already on youtube, its pretty bad.

Also how can individuality and uniqueness be a bad thing.. :o I see where you're coming from in the sense some people go TOO far in trying to be unique and it seems desperate & fake. Also when everyone is trying so hard to be unique it actually becomes boring and NOT unique as everyone is trying so hard to be different, that they actually arent different in the end

(Also what you say 'good songs' are many would disagree, and some would agree ofcourse - just personal taste).

So Enrique never made an impact then? :drama: (btw i think it's time to bring in a suicide smiley)

Its still not been released. It should be out on Sunday

I know what you mean about originality in music, but does it really matter? As long as they are good songs, it doesn't matter if they sound alike, its near impossible for every song to sound different, which seems like you want?

Plus, a lot of songs out now would have been recorded at about the same time, or when recording they wouldn't know other artists will be recording or what will be the 'sound of 2011'...

Another top 10 hit for Chris Brown from this era? Ft Justin Bieber 'Next To You'.

Gaga:

Edge of Glory #26

Judas #38

Born This Way #56

^I think she's performing all 3 on Paul O Grady tonight 9pm - 10pm, so we'll see the impact after 10oclock.

Also I think I'm Into You could climb to at least #6 after Alan Carr tonight, see impact of that after 11pm..

Not keen on the song, but a great video!

Here's some basic math.

Chris Brown + Justin Bieber = Worst collaboration thinkable :puke: I haven't heard it and do not want to hear it for this reason

Yeah i'm not a fan of the song tbh, video is like a little film  (like most are these days).

Was going to be hard to follow Beautiful People anyway..

I kind of agree with what you're saying to be honest. I've never minded if songs sound similar to other songs (being a fan of artists such as the Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, etc. you do have to kind of get used to it ). But I mean, there's just a certain sound which sounds really generic, which I absolutely cannot stand. The instrumental to the choruses of songs such as In My Head by Jason Derulo, Replay by Iyaz, etc. Honestly, absolutely dreadful.

And that Chris Brown/Justin Bieber song already went top 20 on UK iTunes (and top 10 on US iTunes) a few months back.

I don't think it'll do well, because all the Justin Bieber fans have already bought the song on release week. It won't get good radio support because it's Justin Bieber. And which Chris Brown at least, just releasing a music video doesn't seem like a big deal, because he released a music video for She Ain't You, and all its done is hovered around in the top 300 on iTunes for a few weeks.

I think individuality and uniqueness can be a good thing expressed through music. But I don't like it when music takes 2nd place, and those qualities are determined by music videos. Using Lady Gaga as an example, I think The Edge of Glory is a much more interesting song than, say, Bad Romance, but now it seems to be getting a bad vibe because some people don't like the music video.

Five entries in total.

Another top 10 hit for Chris Brown from this era? Ft Justin Bieber 'Next To You'.

Chris Brown and Justin Bieber? ON THE SAME SONG?? Two thoughts:

1. Chris is desperate to get back some of the young fans he lost over the whole Rihanna thing, so this is an ideal collaboration for him. Quite pathetic, really.

2. The world is ending in the video.. seeing Brown and Bieber together, I almost wish it would..

I think Chris Brown and Justin Bieber have quite a similar fanbase anyway. I don't think he'd "win" many. I think they're friends anyway. I saw this video of Justin and Chris performing Look At Me Now, and Justin did Busta Rhymes's verse!! :o Maybe he'll go hip hop when he's older.

Oh dear, I think he's heading for a major fall if that's the case. I can just see him on a 'What happened to them" programme in 10 years time, as it tells of his descent into drug use, depression and at least one affair with a reality TV star ^_^

P.S Do you live on these boards?? How can you make nearly 9000 posts in a little over a year.. :o
