Yeah, it got #1 on iTunes, and probably on the digital chart too, since in its 2nd week at #3 the two songs ahead of it were charity songs. :(

 

Ridin' Solo only peaked at #2 on iTunes, believe it or not! :o It seems so much bigger than what its chart run and sales suggest. It was so popular. I feel so happy whenever I hear it now, just because it reminds me of my last year of A-Levels. :)

Can we all just speak about how criminal life was that the xFactor stopped Party in The Usa getting top 10 with 36,000 sales and missing the top 10 by less than 42 copies to Robbie Williams and missing #9 by 100copies behind Meet Me Halfway (What had just been performed on the xfactor a day before) :( Had Bep not performed Miley would have been at #10. PITUSA deserved a better peak in the uk!

SERIOUSLY. His album was amazing. I don't skip ANY track. (Not even IMH!) It's incredible. The perfect mix of dance, pop & r'n'b.

X Factor got performed on the X Factor like 2 weeks after that. It got performed the same week as Happy.

 

And Miley did miss out to be fair, but you can say that about so many songs. Meet Me Halfway, for example, would've spent longer at #1 if it wasn't for the X Factor.

Meet Me Halfway would have not got to number one for xfactor! Sorry I seen the week she charted at number 11, Westlife was a new entry! She finished merely a hundred copy behind #9 shows how close it was. Gutted.

It peaked at #8. (Very good for a debut album by a male urban artist!)

 

It's chart run was impressive and I too would like to know updated sales actually. Hopefully they'll come this week once we get the mid-week sales report for the DWGH single. :D I want to say it's sold over 300k, but I think I'm pretty far off :(

After initially LOVING DeRulo's new song, it got extremely boring very quick.

Meet Me Halfway would've DEFINITELY got to #1 with the X Factor, and for more than 1 week too. The week BEFORE they performed it, the chart was this:

 

1. JLS

2. Cheryl Cole

3. BEPs

 

JLS and Cheryl both performed on the X Factor, and would not've been in the chart if it wasn't for the show. This was BEFORE Meet Me Halfway was performed, so it would've been #1 with no X Factor.

 

Then the following week, the chart was:

 

1. BEPs

2. Leona Lewis

3. JLS

4. Cheryl Cole

5. N-Dubz

 

Now, Leona wouldn't have been in the chart without X Factor, JLS wouldn't be in the chart without X Factor, Cheryl wouldn't have been in the chart without X Factor. So the #1 that week would've been the BEPs or N-Dubz. I think the BEPs would've beaten N-Dubz since they were #3 the previous week, still increasing, and they doubled N-Dubz's sales in reality, so could've still been far ahead without X Factor.

 

The week after it was:

 

1. X Factor Finalists

2. BEPs

 

Now, as we all know, the X Factor boost usually wears off after a few days. That charity song wouldn't have existed without X Factor, so the BEPs would been #1 for a 3rd week.

 

And Meet Me Halfway would've gotten a 4th week at #1 at the beginning of 2010. It was still #3 in the chart back then, and it was:

 

1. Lady Gaga

2. Joe McElderry

3. BEPs

 

Lady Gaga performed on X Factor, so she would've been lower without it. Joe wouldn't have existed without X Factor.

 

So the BEPs would've had 4 weeks without X Factor. Interestingly, it would've been 2 runs at #1, like Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling.

 

I think the fact that Meet Me Halfway was performed in Novemeber 2009, and STILL top 3 in JANURAY 2010 kind of shows it would've been a hit without X Factor. :D

I found Alexandra calling Example a 'rassclart' hilarious. That is all he deserves tbh, he is a horrible person and a total bully. I am glad Alexandra is standing up against him.

People should definitely stand up for themselves, but 'Rasclart' and 'KMFT' a grown woman, really? No, just not a good look.

Rochelle was a little more smart from what i've seen and didnt send out any insults as such.

 

So another new entry in top 5 this week, 3 today and 1 next week top 5 is competitive at the moment isnt it!

I don't think Example is a horrible person or bully, but I can't fault Alexandra for what she did. I probably would've done similar to what she did. When there's hundreds of thousands of people reading, you can just sit there and let other famous people make fun of you imo.

 

Her choice of word was hilarious though. :D I hope Example uses it in a song. :lol:
